Nah, most of these "fans" think the Irish should win by 50 against everyone.

"Fans" lol alright buddy. Just because I don't drink the Koolaid and am not content with our coach of 10 years having below a 70% winning percentage doesn't make me any less of a fan. I just don't think he's the guy, and I've yet to be convinced otherwise.

If there is one thing I can’t stand about Kelly, it’s the lack of passion his squads often play with / demonstrate. Play through the lumps, keep the pedal down, and have some fun. Show some heart at the end there. Try to score. C’mon.

Fowler is a clown bringing up the Clemson game. They made Clemson work harder for points than literally anyone else did

When will the ND beat writers start pumping the breaks on predicting blowouts that allow the backups to get reps when they play inferior teams? ND has proven, regardless of how good they may be; they’re not the team to put away the really bad teams.

That being said, it’s the first game so hopefully they can regroup & learn from film before New MExico. And for crying out loud, don’t lose money by betting on the Irish to cover vs. the Lobos

Agreed. He seems to greatly favor consistency in approach over "getting up" for the moment. It probably has merit, but it feels like it leads to a really corporate vibe that doesn't lead to a lot of "lets fuck this team up" moments.

Just keep doing you. For anyone to say you are not a true "fan" if you demand better is nothing but fanboy rhetoric.

True, but his point wasn’t mutually exclusive to yours,... ND will never stop hearing it until the go toe to toe in a big post season game. Still hasn’t happened in over a quarter century.

We didn't take control of this game at any point. It felt like Louisville imploded on most of the drives. Bad snaps, false starts, fumbles.

As an Angels fan that lived through 15 plus years of MS leadership,... it can be way worse, believe me

It is frustrating when they should know better. Some do and just want to keep the narrative going which is easy to sell to the masses. The media members who didn’t truly watch that Clemson game are just lazy b/c even a moron realized that Clemson scored 3 TDs when the .AA CB went down w/ an injury. Doesn’t mean ND would’ve won but it would’ve been competitive and simply shows that ND has the horses they just lack the depth. The lack of “SeC speed” & “elite pass rushers” can’t be used to besmirch the Irish anymore.

I know the goal is always the CFP and a natty but my wish is for solid season w/ a NY6 bowl win over a blue blood. If they can’t get that, than at least upset UGA in Athens. I think the latter is more likely.

I haven't seen an ND team struggle this bad since...

I partially agree, but how do you get up for a road game against a team that lost their last 9 games?

Ugly win, but a win nonetheless.

My thoughts exactly. A little worried about the bye week. Looked like Book needs a little more game time under his belt. I did not expect to make this observation today.

Hope Claypool is okay and ready for the next game. There were some good performances by some of the younger players. The tackling issues reminded me of 2016... I don't want to go there again... ever.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Not saying this is the type of game that approach goes to on the whole, but I think the mentality even bleeds into the different segments of the actual game. Every game is the same, every play is the same, every rep is the same. This is good for consistency, but it also means that ND often doesn't seem to smell blood like some teams do.

Hamilton is the real deal. Jafar looked the best in his brief appearance. Book needs to take control offense was out of sync. What's with all the passes behind guys. D looked slow and small. I like Crawford. Did Bilal do anything?

Pretty sure he is over 70%. Like, decently...unless you're subtracting the BS vacated wins.

That begs the ?....how bad is jafar banged up? He went down pretty early in the game.

Claypool took a lick on that awesome play...I’m assuming concussion is the concern there.

Anyone know Pride’s injury status?

Obviously a lot of things to correct but dang I’ll take a win as ugly as it was. Lord knows we’ve dropped enough of these in Kelly’s tenure. I was concerned about this game due to them having a quality coach and a new culture. Add in ND on the road and it played out as I feared. The good news is we have enough good football players to win these games. Saw some good things from new names. Looking forward to getting some of these mistakes cleared up in game 2 and having a great season moving forward. Book needs to be the confident decisive QB he showed last year.
