Just for those like me planning out their season already, this game is a 3:30PM Eastern start time

Edit: google showed me 2:30 originally, whoops

I have a couple tix available with parking pass for the home opener. Section 103 (south endzone, low in upper deck). PM me and enjoy the game.

Would love to take my boys to the game, but they have a HS soccer tournament that weekend...coincidentally they play for ND College Prep in Niles, IL

Two totally different experiences IMO. You’ll understand once you’re there on game day.
I was grinning like a fool just from the stadium tour and walking campus. I'm pretty much geeking out already, so anything people think I should be there for I'm all ears.

Bringing my dad to south bend for the first time. Where can I get a respectable steak and cocktail?

Find out where the bagpipes play, they're cool to checkout at least once. Sometimes I would catch the band practicing on the steps, but didn't always have time. Unfortunately the Trumpets Under the Dome isn't a thing anymore, it's Trumpets At the Dome outside, but shortly after that the band lines up and they play their way to the stadium. I usually follow the band in as they played personally. Get pics of the library, checkout the grotto of course and the Basillica, and get some shots in front of the dome. There's a lot of other sites of course, but I feel like like those are some bare minimums for the first trip.

Has anyone been to the “tailgate” at legends? I don’t need anything crazy just somewhere to take my dad before kickoff.

Legends is fine if you can grab a seat at the bar. It's been a minute since I've done that but I think there's some sort of weird numbering system involved with getting a seat.

I know it’s NIU and they played western Illinois but their offense put up over 700 yards.

Hope the team isn’t sleep walking and finding themselves scrambling to get into the game to start.

Western was 0-12 in FCS last year tbf. Not just a bad FCS team, but possibly the worst. They’ve won 4 games in total since 2019

NIU and Miami might be the two best teams in the MAC. They can't overlook them.

Starting to be worried we’re running away with the hype. I’ve been a fan for ten years this season and ive now seen how it goes. Best we can hope for is to win each week. Hopefully NIU just doesn’t have the speed and the size to keep up

Lots of rat poison to avoid ingesting by the coaches & players as National immediately, right on cue; declared the rest of ND’s schedule a “cakewalk” after the aTm win. Human nature tells me it’s gonna be difficult for this team to take NIU & Miami, OH seriously.

It will but it ultimately won't matter. Probably be close at halftime and everyone will lost their shit. Then we roll.

I think this coaching staff has a group of mature, intelligent guys who will block out the noise both nationally and from within the fanbase.

It's a 60 minute game. A slow start for the first home game after a big win last week is well within the realm of possibility, but in the fourth quarter if they're up by four scores, that's really all anyone should give a damn about.

I’ll be there! Taking my Secretary and her family (NIU grads from Arlington Heights) for their first trip to ND. The weather is going to be INSANE for the first Saturday in September. I’m stoked.
