Congrats dude. Just had my first. The newborn fog is very real but ultimately so rewarding.

I’ve read stories on here about how posters will better come to grips with losses after having a kid. Stories about upsets, bad losses at ND stadium and then looking over to their daughter, who still had the best day of their life.

…do want to warn you that early on, that’s not the case, at least anecdotally. Immediately after the loss to NIU, I was rewarded with a wailing newborn and a dirty diaper, which didn’t exactly sooth my anger toward ND football. lololol maybe one day.

Bump. Sorry to clutter the thread. I'm just debating if it's worth it? I think it's $20/person ... access to stadium, music, food trucks, etc.

This is our first as well, your perspective is truly appreciated. Congratulations to you and yours as well! Hopefully I can continue to keep a level head if things don't drastically improve haha.

It absolutely makes a difference lol. Last Saturday was the first time in two decades I missed an entire half of a game and have zero intention of going back and watching the first half. Never thought I would get to that point.

My experience was that the chilling out didn't really occur until my oldest was around two. At that stage of life they really become a lot of fun and your parenting really kicks into gear here. It's hard to stay mad/frustrated at a football game when you are having fun with your toddler.

Spread is currently -6.5 for the good guys and the moneyline implies a 70%-75% win probability for the Irish.

Moneyline is my play. I hope cover the spread if we open up with the Wing T attack. For some reason it feels like we play it frustratingly safe for the first quarter.

Money is split on the spread and favoring the under. Haven't got anything on the moneyline handle yet. But if the handles stay the same ND covers and puts up points

UL scored TDs on a fumble return and blocked FG against Georgia Tech. They ran for 57 rushing yards. Their two other victories came against FCS opponents.

Some perspective is in order when it comes to how they should be viewed to his point based on their numbers. They're 14th in America in Total Offense.

GT was definitely a test for them and they got a team win out of it seeing as how offense, defense and special teams all scored in that game. Notre Dame's defense is going to be the best unit they've seen to this point by a long shot.

That seems right. This is a game we absolutely should win, yet realistically could lose.

I like that their strength (passing offense) is going against our strength (passing defense). They may get some yards but they won't be able to be consistent all day against our secondary. I expect at least 1 if not 2 picks from our secondary.

Our offense has to play clean, again. I'm okay playing ball control, but they have to limit the 3 and outs and even when they don't score, get a few first downs to get the defense a blow.

Louisville also had a goal line stand to keep GT from scoring a TD. They had alot of breaks go their way in that game.

That means the money is pretty heavily on ND, no? I thought I saw somewhere that the line opened at -4.5 Irish.

I know & I get what you mean. But at the end of the day it’s another form of social media so there’s always going to be folks on all sides of spectrum….glass half full, glass half empty, etc.

I just skim the posts until I land on something that interests me & ignore the rest if need be. I enjoy most folks on here even if I disagree with them.

Maybe mix in some zone on 2nd down to prevent big run plays. I know UL hasn’t shown success in that dept but if ND just rushes four again on every down, even a bad rushing team can pick up some big gains.
