The correct call is DON'T blow the whistle, not blow it incorrectly and THEN decide to enforce the rules.
You also can't kick the ball down the field as a Syracuse player did and you can't assume the play goes the same way if the refs don't blow AND if a cuse player doesn't illegally kick the ball...
No, it shouldn't.
Btw that clusterfuck at the end of the half is exactly why the NFL originally had the "can't review a fumble if play blown dead".... because when a ref blows it dead as a spike, everyone stops playing. 6 ND guys standing around that ball. They added "clear recovery" only for when people keep playing naturally AND someone obviously recovers. The first condition was not met.
Refs got it very, very wrong and cost us at least 3.
Most pathetic fact of the 1st half: Greg Bryant has ONE carry.
I'm fine with profanity and yelling at players. If he said "what the fuck are you thinking!?" I'd be fine with it. Calling a player a fucking moron is a personal insult and uncalled for. What should have he said? Great try, maybe next time, everyone gets a trophy? What ever! Go watch soccer bro!

Golson cost us 3 if he does the play he is supposed to that doesn't happen. He has his head in his ass tonight.

Only at ND does this stuff happen.
What!? He DID fumble it. That's just a fact, poor calls afterwards aside.

The whistle blew. And the ball was kicked. Play was over.
^^^^ thisNah it's the 3 turnovers.
