Trust me I'm not happy about our OOC schedule, and if we could go independent and play anyone we want and automatically get to a BCS bowl if we go 10-2 we would probably schedule like you do as well.

Obviously AF was going to run all over us, thats all they do, and again...no way to prepare for that effectively in less than a week with as many new starters as we have. Umass only had success running when our reserves were in for the most part, also they continued to run to the side of the field that we had a 3rd string linebacker playing on due to injury, so that really does not concern me. 112 yds. on 36 attempts. Meh.

Special treatment for ND in the BCS again eh? How about you guys? Last year you were the 3rd best in the conference, yet somehow leaped MSU, that hammered you (again). You are Michigan we are ND, thats how we roll.

First of all... listing people who aren't projected to be drafted does not count. Second, by simple virtue of Short being a project 1st round player (#21 overall on Kiper's big board) Purdue by default has more NFL talent than Michigan who has at best 3 guys on the last draft tier. Especially when you factor in that Ricardo Allen... a 1st team all Big Ten CB as a sophomore... somehow isn't even listed? For real? Most places have him somewhere in the 10-20 range as a junior. For example, first hit on Google and I won't waste more time:

Purdue gets 2 defensive players in the top 15 overall players in the entire Big Ten.... Michigan doesn't get a single defensive player on the list until Kovacs at #50. MSU has SEVEN defensive players all ranked ahead of Kovacs. What you're arguing for is pure insanity. And I'm officially bored with this.

PS. Someone on this forum had a list of the top 25 or so players by position projected nationally for 2012... I can't seem to find it, but if you still have it please post it here. It says more of the same. Arguing that Michigan has more "talent" on defense then either MSU or Purdue is simply nonsensical.

My issue, is that we can talk all the **** we want about Michigan, and how much better we are, and how lucky they have been, or they are a one man team, or we are on the rise, etc, etc.

Notre Dame has been the better team the last 2 years and that resulted in 0 wins. So Notre Dame may be the better team this year as well, time to shut up and man up. Let Michigan talk all they want because the last word will be said after Saturday's game.

You are right that in all things that you have said, but their is one thing you didn't mention. We are 3-0 going into this game for the first time in a while, which will exponentially rile people up a bit more.

You can bring up the last two years all you want, but I refuse to let the past determine my feeling for this years team. If we expect this team to be different, then we need to treat them as such.

I know this has been posted all over the board since Saturday, but there is definitely a different feel to this team. I had no visions of losing that game on Saturday, and felt confident we wouldn't need to score more that 14 to win.

It is time to put up or shut up against Michigan though, so I can definitely respect where you are coming from.

Michigan fan here. I really hate constantly reading ND fans say you had the better team the last 3 years. If that was the case you would've won at least one of those games, and you wouldn't have lost so many other games during those seasons. That is the exact typical Irish fan attitude that gives you guys the reputation you have. I'm not talking to all Irish fans, I'm talking to the ones that are always talking about bad luck, bad officiating, blah blah blah that caused you to lose games you should've won. With that said, I know alot of Irish fans that aren't that way, and I apologize you get lumped in with the bad ones. Just so annoying always hearing so many excuses year after year. I think this game will be close. Michigan has a great offense again, but ND will dominate the lines on both sides of the ball. If we actually run Denard, unlike the Bama game, it will be really close.

Why did I just re-watch last year's game highlights? I was at Fox and the Hound downtown, which, unbeknownst to me, is a huge Michigan game day bar. I talked so much trash when ND scored with 30 tics. Havent eaten that much crow possibly in my life.

Need redemption this weekend so I am pretty sure I will be heading back to the lion's den.

I think ND definitely had the better team last year from top-to-bottom, with the possible exception of d-line and QB (it's hard for me to classify Denard as QB when he hurts ND the most with his legs and horribly underthrown jump balls) (also, to ND fans: even with his limitations I give the "QB edge" to Michigan last year because Tommy Rees, and d-line because Lynch and Tuitt didn't play in this game). I don't know about Weis's team in '09, but I think BK's team in 2010 might have been better too.

South Bend local and ND alumn here; i usually just drive east up angela blvd (located south of campus), past campus, past Eddy Street Commons, and one block past Twyckenahm to South Bend Ave (a.k.a. Route 23) and take a left. all the businesses on that street sell parking for $20 right up until gametime...clover village is a student apartment complex that has a ton of spots if you are there at all early. Then i pass by a liquor store and make the short walk to campus carrying a sixer.

If you want to tailgate, probably take the white lot advice, though i'm not familiar.

No it is still you. There is no support for your claim. Russel, Latta, Gaston, and Short all have the potential to play on Sundays. Both corners are lightyears ahead of anything Michigan has unbroken. PU's defense is faster better and tougher, and MSU's is, too.

You can find all the convoluted one sorce shiit you want. You still are an arrogant pipsqueek that can't fathom the buthurt season you are starting to feel. Forget about ND, for a minute. PU, MSU, Ne, and OSU are waiting in line for 'Bama's sloppy seconds. Don't forget about Il, and NWU also.
