Looks like a 4-8 year. This looks to be the start of a 4 game losing streak. We can't really expect to beat Stanford, BC, and Pitt with this putrid defense. Then how can we beat Navy, Utah, and USC? I am somewhat surprised that ND didn't run just a little bit more, it seemed as though Armando was able to move the chains...and Longo or no Longo the D did look tired at the end...even if they won't admit it.

For being an "academic" school we sure have some idiotic players. Set the edge; don't get washed down on the D-line; cover men downfield on a fake field goal. 4-8 really? We have been competitive in every game so far. Thats pretty damn good for a coach in his first year, and a new system, new QB.

I said it before, I 'll say it again, you shouldn't be expecting anything from this team this year. Anything over 6-6 is a bonus. This team is only going to get better as the year goes on.

Strap on those helmet straps kids, its going to be an interesting ride.

And I just saw the replay on ESPN. The play clock on the scoreboard was at 0.

guys, after so many seasons of this, i really dont know if my health can take Notre Dame football, i rele rele dont know, i stayed calm and composed the entire game, but after that td, well as i type this im wiping blood off my knuckles, i dont know if it gets any worse than this, i have no idea how the team will respond, irishR#1 idk if this is a freakout, but as far as my constant "this is still an 8-4 team" talk goes, thats out the window, BK is a great coach, and he will eventually get ND back, or this game was the confirmation of something that has been stirring in the back of my head, "is this really how it will end?" i pray that it wont, but as for now, consider this my last post for a long, long time, ill still chime in from time to time, but for my own sake, I cannot continue like this.

If the Cubs consistently recruited better talent than the AL Central, then I would tend to equate the two. But right now, in my opinion, it's not even close. ND = Disappointment.

But, I don't think necessarily that we were "out coached" on the fake. We didn't have our safe on, but it was like 16 yards for the 1st down. Coaches are more likely to fake the fewer yards are necessary for the first down. That's just how it is. On a pure numbers basis the chances of a fake there are very, very, slim.
