Is anyone considering the fact that we were predicted to lose? We could have won, and probably should have. It sucks. But, this is the first step in a major resurgence. I'm wrecked by this, but I'm on the frost end of the bandwagon.

yet I see what BK is doing on O and it is taking shape....Riddick, RUdy, Floyd, TJ, AA.....imossible to key on all those players. Again I will say it...we need more safties....I though our two safties did well...however they need some relief- other than corner it is IMHO the toughest position on the field

Since when did 23sec. on the clock & Timoute remaining in the 4th Q with a tied game become a normal situation to give up and go into OT. Let's see bceause we played such dominate D or we just couldn't be stopped on offense...NONONO...stupidity???? Our players looked out standing at times & flat out intolerable in others. A lot of commonsense was not used in this game. Oh well **** it!!!! Can't wait to get worked up again next week, just for another let down. Finally faceing the facts.....we will never return to this so called "glory" people dream about!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People talk about **** about being young in a new systems, so it should be a muligan, **** that, MSU isn't even ranked they're not even close to a dominate team. If we were going places we would have won this game......

Some fans are realists. I tend to be one of those. We have been in games, but against not great teams. Now we have to face Utah, Pitt, and BC. This is a 4-8 team right now. Even if we get better, so will other teams. We are paper thin on defense. One injury and we are even in a worse direction.

Ripping fans that state the actual state we are in isn't cool. But, there is some positives I agree. But, we needed this win, and now we are in a hard state.

Find 5 wins in our remaining schedule? There isn't really any.

Wester Michigan win
Tulsa Win
Army Win

Stanford loss
BC loss
Pitt Loss
USC Loss
Navy Loss
Stanford

We couldn't beat SC and Navy with Jimmy and Golden, I don't see it right now either. And we couldn't stop an average QB in Cousins, how can we stop a top 3 NFL pick in Luck.

I don't intend to be a negative nelly, but a realist. We are in trouble. We are looking good with our recruits and overall good next year. But, honestly can we really get to 6-6 this year without 1 win from Michigan or Michigan State. NOPE. Now it is time to develop our young kids.

Really, you walk away from games like this saying we could have won and should have won? WOW, I mean this is not pop warner football these coaches are paid millions I just don't get that type of response. BUT, I will say, if you are going to root for the Irish this is probably the only way to stay sane.

We are 1-2 and we are going to lose an *** ton of games this year. Who was the genius that decided to throw a random game against Utah on our plate? That will be a scoring fiesta for them. It seems as if we went too conservative with our blitzing and now are in a constant prevent defense. At least Crist will have to come back next year and he will end up being decent although I see why ESPN did not have him as a 5 star recruit his long passes are kind of bad even though his arm strength is great.

This really sucks year after year. I realize the season isn't over, but the parallels are astounding. The only difference I'm seeing on defense is that we are staying in a base 3-4 instead of blitzing every play. I would love to see them mixing it up, although maybe they don't feel they are ready to do that. It's gut check time for the team. We are about to see what BK is made of. I'm not saying he is a bad coach or a failure yet, but I'm less than impressed thus far, but he does deserve some time.

Turns out my first post isn't going to be bragging about how I knew they would win and shut down the run blah blah blah in fact its more trying to deal with the fact that I was disappointed by lackluster play yet again, but for the Debbie downers out there I can tell ya I actually still have hope (no clue why) riddick was a beast, Rudolph delivered again and the linebackers did pretty good playing down hill and keeping the msu offense one sided. Sure another team ran all over us but atleast this time it was two players rather than just one. I don't know if we will win even 4 games like some of you predict but I know by Tuesday ill be back on my notre dame high horse cheering and saying how they will dominate this coming weekend, cause no matter what ill claim I bleed green and criticize those all over the nation for being down on dame even though it seems like our own "die hard" fans are down on them as well, keep your chins up folks cause I know before its all over with we won't just be hearing faint echos we'll be def from the loud roars of the notre dame cheers and laughing at shmucks like mark may saying he knew they would come back as their mouths are full of crow

Wow, look what Stanford is doing to Wake Forrest. Destroying them. And what is going to happen next week? 1-3 and getting destroyed. Stopping the best QB in the country, he will pick apart our defensive backs. and especially with no pass rush.

It will again be up to our offense to outscore them.

I am totally bummed, we really needed to win this for the sake of mentallity. Now we have that, oh they will always come back and beat us in their heads.

this just sucks.

I think I'm able to step back because it's Kelly's first year. In some ways, I was able to hit the reset button. I just still really believe that this will turn around...

But, it looks like this season won't be as good as I was hoping.

This front loaded schedule is killing us.

It's not that tough of a front loaded schedule man neither Michigan nor Michigan State will end up being that good this year, neither will be in the top 25 and Purdue is some warm garbage. What we need is more talent on defense and better athletes on the d line specifically.

It's not that bad, but I would love to have had time to develop some comfort in the system before getting to our more challenging games. That's what every other team does.
