with the way our offensive line has been run blocking, Tarean Folston nor Cam McDaniel will do jack, I agree with those that want to see more Greg Bryant.

Bryant seems kind of lost at times...hey if we want to just freestyle to squeak by Purdue that's cool but it does little good in the long run.

Thoughts:

- OL has to push Purdue around for the run game.
- LBs need to stop the rush. Make Purdue throw and you win.
- Chris Brown is a 3 star playing like a 3 star. He needs to step it up.
- Bryant should be getting the carries. He's making the most of what little the OL is giving.
- BK looks like he's all ready for the NFL with that rage :).

Bottom line is the team has played sloppy. They play a clean game and this would be another laugher already.

If we had scored that TD instead of kicked a FG, and made the missed FG, we'd be 11 up.

Did anyone really think deep down inside that Purdue wouldn't play as tough as they could?

My gut instincts said this would be an opponent that could play football due to emotional history.

In the words of BK's halftime speech a few years ago, "Did you really think they'd just give it to you!?"

Exactly the opposite I think. If Purdue hadn't handed us a turnover and some penalties, they'd be up by 10.

Yeah that's a half empty half full argument. Koyacks fumble lead to 7 for Purdue. Again if ND plays clean we still have Redfield and up by 17 or so.

Elmer getting beat like he stole something all damn game. Thank you Everett!

He is playing really bad. I have to think McGlinchey gets some serious consideration over the bye week. He won't hold up against better D's.

I think we should give Golson some credit. Our WRs were overrated and it's showing. None of them are complete players and he's working with very little separation.

Pretty much. We're lucky to be up

I don't agree. They had a bad turnover, and so did we. They've had bad penalties, and so have we. Here's one stat that boggles me. Etling, 12/14 2 TD...wut? A guy who had barely 50% completion against CENTRAL MICHIGAN is nearly flawless against us?

I can't figure it out because he was solid at guard last year.

Different game at RT. He's doing exactly what Kelly said at that's setting like he's a guard. His feet and movement is stopping and he's lunging. On a couple of those it's insanely bad, I mean stuff that you should never see bad. I'll have to go back and watch but I think on one he got one step kick in, stopped, and lunged. Obviously missed and boom plays blown up. Luckily Golson can move.

Boston College did a squib kick and USC looked like guys on a Benny Hill skit while the returner got hurt
I saw that. Weird, because I thought it was impossible to slip on an artificial surface. Superior traction, dontcha know?

Well keep in mind the best one is missing. If DD is in the game it makes everything look a lot different.

I fully expect the ND offense to blow the lid off this game in the second half. Something like a 45-24 win.

I absolutely agree.

Including possibly requiring double coverage thereby freeing up our other boys.

Exactly. We're playing WR's by position right now which is fine. DD would get moved around and put in positions for mismatches also creating other mismatches as the defense compensates.
