I saw that quote too, but its just a weird question to come up with if you want to ask about physicality. I think asking "Coach you credited the win to the physicality of the program, how do you ride the line between creating physicality through practice but not wearing down over 12 games?" would be a normal question.

If it was real it was a very clever on the spot response by Smart because I think I'd be trying to figure out what the guy was even asking.

Does Smart schedule the team for next year? Do they keep an open date handy for this bit of petty revenge?

It's such a bullshit thing to say.

The next open date they have is 2027 and it will be filled by a G5/FCS team because the other 3 scheduled non-con games are P4s.

They have open spots in '28 and '29, at which point no one transferring now will be at whichever schools are scheduled.

But, it gives UGA fans and media something to jerk off over, so he says it.

Further, they play GaTech every year. So, their 8 game conference schedule + GaTech leaves 3 non-cons. 1 is a G5/FCS, so 2.

2. Two opportunities for this to ever happen in a given year, scheduled at least 2 to 3 years out.

UGA had 25 players transfer out in 2025, most to other SEC schools or peer P4's and a few to G5s. But 3 went to Purdue, 1 to Cuse, and one to Nebraska.

Is he just miffed about Nitro Tuggle going to Purdue? Unfortunately for Kirb, Purdue's next open date is 2030, when UGA *doesn't* have an opening, soooo...

Imagine Love or even like Fernando Mendoza being asked that question and ask yourself if they would answer it like Pavia. Love has been asked similar questions and has credited his team. I understand elite athletes all feel like they’re the best players in the world but I would vomit in my mouth if Love said “stats and tape don’t lie.” It’s not even true anyways, stats especially in CFB lie all the time.

Pavia is a cunt. He made Clark Lea a lot of money, I'll give him that, but I can't recall an athlete that went from likeable to unlikeable for me as fast as this guy did.

The fact he's trying to sue for an extra year of eligibility says a lot about not only him but the state of college football. Go to the NFL, go to the CFL or get a job. The idea of 24, 25, 26 year old college football players outside of BYU is starting to get tremendously old.

He's an arrogant, cocky pissant, but he is a good college player. I don't think any other player/Heisman candidate means more to his team than Pavia.
