kinda disturbing thing for an AD to ask considering the levels of poverty in Arkansas
Especially considering he’ll have made ~$8m by the end of this season. He resides in a welfare state….how much $ does he need to live there vs what he & execs from WM, Tyson, Dillard’s, Stephens, etc could pony up w/o missing it?

Yeah all it would take is about .5% of some of these CEOs salaries to fund their local university NIL

Absolutely. The rich are so far removed from reality sometimes they suggest the most preposterous things. 66.2% of the country lives paycheck to paycheck, and it's probably even worse in Arkansas. They have the 3rd lowest median household income among the states. Maybe when all is said and done they do have 30 thousand households at the end of all that who can afford the $100/month, but that's assuming they're all Razorback fans and they're all big enough supporters to want to give up $1,200 with nothing in return. Just seems like a big ask and a little pretentious, I'd aim smaller.

A Georgia WR arrested for battery and assault on an unborn child. Good thing Kirby has things under control in Athens. It’s Urb in Fla part 2. SEC! SEC! SEC!

From CBS: Georgia wide receiver Colbie Young was arrested Tuesday morning on misdemeanor charges of battery and assault on an unborn child.

7 different arrests on the UGA FB team since the beginning of 2024…….also coasting along at a 41% graduation rate for the FB program (since 2016).

Speaking with my Volunteer friends that I now live among. The last few weeks have left a sour taste in their mouths. They had such high expectations with this quarterback and stacked defense. Now they accept the offense is very average when not playing absolute garbage the first few games of the season. Concerns about going from the playoffs and playing in the conference championship have turn to questions about a 3 loss season.

It’s much better than hearing “it feels like ‘98”. Always happy when UT’s season turns mediocre. They keep their mouths shut about ND.

Same. I’m no fan. Hideous colors and uniforms. I don’t respect them. I actually like “Rocky Top” however, if only it was played sparingly and not on repeat.

Truly nothing better. Never seen a fanbase get so mouthy over so little.

Not a real fan of this program.

I saw that clip on Saturday……barely a blip on National Media. I realize Kirby is fiery and the State player may have just crossed his path at the wrong time but Kirby should have enough self control to stop before he does something like this. There are plenty of other schools where if their coach did this, it would be put under a magnifying glass.

At UGA, if you didn’t commit the offense from behind the driver seat, you are usually good.

Not defending him, but to his credit, he did call Lebby to apologize afterward, then called the QB the next day.

Agree. I’ve been in East Tennessee for 26 years and would like to at least root for UT as a 2nd team but the amount of shit talking I get about ND makes it impossible.
Same here in Chattanooga my friend. They make it impossible

We must be in the 'Bermuda Triangle'... I'm in Nashville and everyone is beside themselves.... don't know if they are supposed to root for Vandy or TN because Vandy beat Bama......

That was a bit like Woody Hayes lite there. It wasn't successive shoves and punches, but it was still uncalled for. I can't even tell what warranted shoving an opposing player.
What warranted it? His team was in a dog (dawg?) fight and he wasn’t expecting that. He’s more than a bit nervous about what’s happening.

There is a pretty good article about Kirby Smart and all the arrests, etc. (30 since early 2023) on USA Today if anyone wants to check it out. I‘m not quite sure how to link the article on IE otherwise I would have done that……sorry fellas.
