Present the evidence that supports that the US can't be trusted to have not been involved in an attack that we were actively warning the Russians about.
I also disagree that Ukraine has motive. If anything this would hurt them. Nearly every modern military study has found that that attacks on civilians do nothing but strengthen the resolve of the attacked country. Ukraine wants Russian civilians to be disenchanted with fighting a pointless, economically catastrophic war. Killing Russian civilians indiscriminately would hurt this strategy.

I would be surprised if the US was involved. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ukrainians were. I doubt Ukrainians were, but it is possible. If they had evidence someone they wanted dead was there or some rogue Ukrainian taking an opportunity. The point is we don’t know.
ISIS hasn’t been aggressive like this with Putin. Russias role in Syria with ISIS could be a contributor.
