I don't understand the talk of this as some type of "escalation"? Ukraine is the one being invaded FFS. 100% military targets with minimal casualties - GFY "escalation" losers. Sounds like MIC sour grapes to me - "crap, now Russia might want to negotiate peace".

From the get go I didn't understand how restricting the fighting to Ukraine territory did anything but help Russia but then again my family has never received money from Russian oligarchs.

It is "escalatory" in that Ukraine had not yet struck that deep into Russia at those strategic level of targets, but I don't think it means that it was not a righteous escalation of the conflict. The Russian "air based" leg of its nuclear triad is apples and oranges compared to ours. No Tupolevs could penetrate any sort of modern A2AD system. So while they are theorhetically nuclear bombers, they're nothing like our B-2s. And the Tupolevs hit have been conducting conventional strikes into Ukraine, so they are completely in line to be attacked. I'll raise my eyebrows when they take out a Dolgorukiy

Taking out bears in Siberia helps us because it limits the number of times the Russians can run sorties to force us to scramble fighter escorts off Alaska. Win win.

We should have never put conditions on the aid Ukraine received.

Love to see that for Ukraine, taking the fight to Russia and making offensive maneuvers. That will hopefully pay dividends, hopefully sow some unrest in Russia and maybe bring peace sooner. Can't imagine how much it must frustrate Putin to see aircraft worth millions of dollars/rubles getting taken out by mass produced drones for pennies in comparison.

Russia continues to go after civilian targets and energy, whu Ukraine sticks to military targets. Someone needs to step up and help Ukraine

Insane footage. 14 Americans, British, Aussies and Canadians assaulting 20 something russians in a trench with bunkers

Haven't been able to watch the whole thing yet, but that's some wild footage! That grenade into the crater the two Russians were holed up in was perfectly lobbed. It's interesting to hear how they avoid friendly fire/shrapnel too.

Yep, showed a lot of stuff I haven't thought about or wondered how they avoided doing.

Plus the amount of shoot at what you can't see.

Yeah, they're one people...that's why they've been opposing your invasions for the last several years. I thought our propaganda was bad...
I have some Ukrainian friends. Yeah, no. They definitely DO NOT think of themselves as one people with their neighbors to the east. They flippin' HATE their guts right now. 'Bout time for a regime change in Moscow.
