Here is what will happen.

They will send their letters out Friday. There is no campus mail in Saturday or Sunday and Monday is like Columbus day or something so they won't have mail that day either. So they will receive their letters middle of next week and not have enough time to prepare for FSU. In the end all will be not guilty. But it'll be one more way for the administration to fuck em before it's done.

No info.

looked and saw everyone but Kendall Moore...now unless he has another name he goes by or grad students arn't listed....he is the only one

I believe this was discussed about 200 pages ago, but it was determined Kendall is not his first name. Not searching to see what it actually is.

I believe basketball in general is complete garbage... just me.

If I were guessing based solely on twitter activity I would say that DD had an unfavorable verdict. His last tweet yesterday was, "That's crazy" and then nothing after that. His dad seems to be very quiet on the matter as well.

If they were still waiting for an answer he would be talking about the lengthy timeline and if he was reinstated there would be talk of that as well. It seems like the only logical situation is that he got the verdict, it was bad, and now they are appealing.

Again, this is an unsubstantiated guess based solely on twitter activity.

Why by the end of today?? It's been nothing but assumption that things are moving today from what I've seen.

The last sentence I wrote said that all of that is only true if what BK said was true. He was told that they would know their fate by yesterday or today.

Did he say that they would, or that they should? Or that it was his opinion that they would?

That's a great question. I don't remember what word he used.

If I know anything about coach speak I would bet he said "should" though. He wouldn't back himself into a corner by saying "would."

No, he was told that decisions were "imminent" and went on to say he interpreted that to mean either yesterday or today. However, for all we know (including BK) given how this thing has played out so far, "imminent" could mean anything from today to sometime this season to at some point in the players' lifetime.

"I was told that hearings were going to take place very quickly," Kelly said. "That was on Monday. Today's Thursday...."

Is there anyone else secretly hoping that the players are guilty as all get-out?

If guilty: We lose talented football players for the rest of the season and possibly beyond. Notre Dame is praised for sticking to its principles, even if the wheels of justice might turn unnecessarily slowly.

If not guilty: We already lost talented football players for five games and probably six for absolutely no reason. Notre Dame is ridiculed by the media for taking months to look like they're tough on academic dishonestly only to cave to the whims of the football coach. ND is painted as "no different than the SEC."

I'm all for not guilty... if ND takes away wins for this I'll be pissed.

I think you're creating a false dichotomy...

I don't think there's a PR win in this if they're all guilty. The players (and their friends/relations) will probably be angry and vocal.

I don't think the second scenario plays out. Especially given that two prominent athletes have already been suspended from the University before. If its the second scenario, the headline will continue to be that this took too long.

End of the day, my fear is that the Committee looked at the facts, found the smallest glimmer of opening and acted on that to expel them, just to prove a point, and to save face.

Not me! I prefer that ND administration be ridiculed, correct any mistakes that they made and have talented and innocent players return and help this team win a National Championship!

Getting paid? Pretty sure Cali has made a large Vfortune on this thread.

Once this thing wraps up the mods are going to purge the whole thing, just flat delete it... it'll take everything back....

Had a friend last year who went through this process and was told that he would hear a verdict about a week after his hearing. He waited nearly 2 months in complete silence before the school decided to let him know that he was kicked out. This seems to be the trend in recent years, unfortunately. What happens under the Golden Dome, who knows?

I'm guessing there aren't too many people on here actually hoping for them to be guilty. Most folks actually like our players and don't wish ill will upon them.
