Wait wait wait. So you are telling me that people should go out on a dangerous highway, risking their lives in a completely unnecessary way to get support for the cause, but in turn, they will drum up unwanted anger towards their protests, which will further cause tension amongst the people of our country, and will not get the outcome they desire?
There a dozen more appropriate and successful ways to go about this. Stopping traffic on highways is not one of them.
I'm beginning to believe that NJ/NP is nothing more than a troll and am finding that these protesters are factually misguided, illogical, and just trying to drive a racist agenda; no matter who it hurts, bothers, disrupts, and destroys....if anything, THEY are the real racist's, IMHO.....
Mike Brown was a thug who just robbed a store, told a cop to F off and then fought with the cop and reached for his service weapon....The race factor in him getting shot was ZERO....if a a white guy had done the same thing, the result would still be the same...
As for Eric Garner, a black police officer was the superior officer on that scene...I agree what happened to him was senseless and was perhaps an abuse of power or the use of force in making him comply went over the edge....HOWEVER....again, the race factor in the Garner case is the same percentage as the Brown case: ZERO....
Both Brown and Garner resisted....Brown was told to stop several times while he was charging Officer Wilson...Brown could have complied...He didn't....He paid for it with his life...
Garner was also resisting and arguing with police...if he would have just complied, he too would be alive....is it the NYPD's fault that Garner was obese and had a heart condition? When Garner was transported to the hospital, he was unconscious, but breathing on his own....perhaps his own bad habits put his life more in jeopardy than most who are struggling and wrestling around with police....Where I come from, you don't tell the police to F off or go for their service weapons or resist and fight with them...That isn't a race issue; it's a culture issue....who thinks it's ok to do those things?
So tired of ppl like NJ/NP pushing some racially charged BS agenda that lacks facts, common sense, or honesty.....quit spreading hate and division thru misinformation....you are the one causing more problems and resentment than anyone else....how does that help us grow together and become stronger? It doesn't.
