REM Breaks Up

REM is breaking up after 3 decades. Pretty wild. I'm not an REM nut, but they were a great band.

Heh. I didn't really ever think about it. They recently did release an album though. Just heard the news and they are a big enough band to warrant it being noted.

I despise REM, not for their music but because they did a concert at MGM and the parking lot and all the bars were filled with those idiotic fans and it took me 20 minutes to get a beer.

I don't think they've done anything memorable in a long, long time, like a decade or more. But they are a major band and influenced a ton of bands like Nirvana and sold 70 million albums.

They were a big deal when I was growing up in the '80's and '90's though.
