Both were wrong about him. I was right there with you thinking he was going to be a success. And I think you're right, there's no reason they can't be a team consistently going to bowl games. They have plenty of positives they can sell in the recruiting trail
I thought a lot of what he did and or tried to do at JSU was positive. It was good. Beyond winning football games.

CU is a complete circus, and he's probably not staying in town very much longer once his QB son is gone. The school is going to make a lot of money off of it.

Well said, sucks that a lot of the off the field stuff he's at jsu didn't transfer this way. Had high hopes for him and the program

Does accepting foreign funds violate NIL regulations? I was under the impression that there were absolutely no rules whatsoever.

He was a disgrace at JSU. His tenure was the complete antithesis to what HBCU's are supposed to be. The admins there knew it and rode along with it because they figured they could benefit. Which they did, for like 2 minutes. edit: [That dynamic with the admins] is the same at Colorado and how could you not see it going any other way?

edit to clarify my meaning

I know the NCAA broke this game and is continuing to break the game, but have they commented on this coach going to Saudi Arabia for an NIL deal?

If i were Coach Prime I would be embarrassed; it would be a disgrace...and we thought Pete "the cheat" Carroll was bad for this game.

If Sanders leaves after this year, which would appear likely, he’ll leave a roster almost devoid of
quality high school recruits. Plenty of transfers in, who will probably become transfers out.
So the new guy will have to turn the whole roster over again. Rinse and repeat.

I can’t read it, no account… but how hard is it to find a bank to open a savings account?
Credit Union opened accounts ($2,121) for players that have kids. Sanders matched. The 2,121 was a nod to Sanders. Article didn't say how many players it was. Hope it was some type of investment and not a regular savings account. My Father in Law opened investment accounts for our grandkids before he passed. Seeded each with $3,000. Twelve years later they are all around $18K. The wife is the custodian and they can't touch it until they turn 21.

There's a lot not to like about Sanders, but this is cool.

I believe it’s eight players who currently have kids.

LOL. I always try to avoid the comment section at all costs, but when it comes to DS, I can't help but look so that I can spot the guys who go out there and make it a point to chime in that "he couldn't tackle" in reference to a present day article about him being the head coach of Colorado. Just too funny.

He absolutely has to deliver this season, mostly because his mouth is making it such. Not much brevity in this situation when you're talking the talk.

Watch every snap of the game. When you forget about all of the distractions, who is father is, etc. all you see with Shedeur Sanders is a first round NFL draft pick. He's really that good when you keep it down to just football.

Travis Hunter, same thing. Full stop no hesitations NFL baller.

Jimmy Horn is good too.

The rest of that is going to be exposed this season. The OL and defense don't look like they've gotten any better.

No disagreement. Shedeur is a damn good QB. If he was on another top 15 team, he could be a difference maker on the national stage. I don't know if he's the kind of guy I want to spend franchise money and futures on because he seems self-obsessed and he throws ex teammates under the bus. Someone will assuredly take the chance and let us spectate on the gamble. Might hit big, might be the noose around their neck.

Question would be, can a QB and two WRs carry a team like that to something better than 6-6?

Hunter played something like 120 snaps in the NDSU game. I don't care how athletic or conditioned a player may be, come November, any player would be gassed playing upwards, if not more, of 100 snaps a game.

I hope not, I took the under of 5.5 wins for these guys.

Guy that works for me will be at the Nebraska/Colorado game on Saturday. He says the stadium will be loud. Apparently, there is a lot of hate between those two schools from when they were both in the Big 12

I’m looking forward to that game.

The game in 1989 was outstanding. It's been a pretty one sided affair for the most part, but CU has won 7 of their 21 wins against Nebraska this century. Including three in a row.

I like Nebraska this weekend.

Not to be that guy, but it goes back to the Big 8. 1971 might have ben CU's best team. They beat #6 Ohio State and #9 LSU on the road. Finished 10-2 with the two losses against #1 Nebraska and #2 Oklahoma. Neither game was close.

BTW, both were in the Big 8 at the time and met for one of the greatest games ever with Nebraska winning 35-31. Highly recommend watching it.

They needed Hunter for 120 snaps to beat a FCS team at home.
