Colorado can't control who's up or down in their conference, or who they play, and good on them for scheduling Nebraska and North Dakota State. More the point is that the Big 12 is just a weaker conference than the Pac-12 was (certainly last year and, when it comes to top-end teams, probably most years). So you're gonna have teams who aren't actually that good at a national level rack up good records. (Like Iowa State and BYU at the moment).
In Colorado's case, you could see them beating everyone left on their schedule - eyeballing it, Cincy is probably their toughest remaining opponent, and it'll be at home at night - which means going 10-2/8-1 in the conference. That could mean the Big 12 title game. And we know if Colorado gets anywhere near the CFP the hype train will be out of control...
