I believe they have a linebacker on defense... it was highlighted during the TCU game. Kid had an INT and they talked about it. I don't know about offense.

Yeah, he was doing pretty solid at Kent State, but it's inarguable that he has a much bigger spotlight on him now as OC of Colorado than his achievements at Kent State.

Prime has definitely surrounded himself with great assistant coaches. Watching the game on Saturday I never saw him bring down the microphone on his headset which tells me he is 100% letting his coaches coach while coach prime does his thing on the sidelines and off the field promoting the program. i’m sure he does some coaching, but I see prime as more a figurehead and leader of the program as opposed to your traditional coach That actually coaches.

I just hate to hear all the we vs. they talk……I understand it but I think it sends a bad message. If I spoke like that, I would immediately be labeled a racist. Personally, I think coaches (or any type of celebrity/personality) that present themselves with a huge braggadocio type approach will immediately polarize people. It’s attractive to some people but an absolute turnoff to others.

prime is the same person he is now then he was playing defensive back to the Falcons/49ers/cowboys. He’s just not playing corner or safety. He’s now playing head coach. When his teams did well or when he did well he let you know about it, but you did not hear a lot from him when things did not go their way. It will be interesting when Colorado loses a few games to USC and some others and how he responds.

Thats where Coach Prime has been shrewd and disciplined. He didn't just take his crew from JSU...he hired a great staff and doesn't micro manage or substantially interfere.

True. But he got assistants that were better than I think most thought. A guy with a big ego might not be able to accommodate a Grade A level staff.

That’s where Prime and a guy like Michael Jordan differ. Chatter has been that MJ just wanted Yes Men and didn’t want anyone challenging him… which is why him Charles Barkley had a falling out. Brian Kelly was known to just hire “his guys” not necessarily the best guys.

I love Coach prime, but he is not the bellwether for African-American head coaches. I’m afraid this will get tire some real quickly.

I could be 💯 percent wrong (and probably am) but I think they get boat raced by Oregon and uSC. If that happens watch bandwagon mass exodus. On the flip side if some how they win both games, fire up the popcorn because it’s going to one of the greatest media circuses ever seen.

The national CFB media are eating it up. There are some counterpoints that suggest TCU and Nebraska aren't any good, but that's a small minority. You can only change that narrative until they finally lose, which makes it a rather winnable argument. "USC and Oregon are going to roll them." The team with the wonky defense and.....Oregon. I mean, sure, yeah.

I don't know that many people were saying otherwise a month ago before they doubled their win total from last year? I didn't see anyone pick them higher than 9th or 10th in the conference.

As for the creation of doubters and haters, it's become an art form in American Sports Culture, especially in all levels of football. I don't know of anyone who has mastered this art form as much as Deion Sanders has, and he's done so in a short amount of time. Win or lose, I hope people keep provoking him.

I was curious how they were going to drum up another personal angle, but Norvell did that for him. The problem is this tactic can’t be used forever. Good for Sanders doubling the previous year’s win total, but it was TCU and Nebraska. Win number 3 is going to be easy with or without making it personal. It is after all CSU they’re playing.their win totals since 2018 are 3, 4, 3, 3 and 1. Not even an average team.
