You know, the party that supposedly pulled a coup, would really push a "DEI" candidate as their frontrunner purely for the "DEI" aspect?

Yeah, Donald Trump would have really picked the one term Gov of a electorally safe GOP state who never ran in the primaries and calls his wife "mother" as his VP if they weren't a white man.
Mike Pence was floated to run for President in 2012 by a number of conservative groups and Reagan officials, and he was the chairman of the Republican Study Committee, runner up for Minority party leader in 2006, and became the Republican Conference chairman in 2009.

They're trying to win an election lmao, they saw how incredibly stupid it was to have 92 year old Joe Biden mumble out about how he was going to have a nice black VP woman, you really think that they're going to do the DEI thing part two?

The only ones calling her a DEI prez pick are desperate republicans. (Sorry for mentioning the DEI card again #1 !)
Why can’t both be right? They are trying to win… using their DEI pick. Pretty simple. You call them desperate republicans… why can’t we just call them republicans trying to win an election? Is it that hard for you to say she’s a DEI pick? You are like 95% there but…. Desperate republicans lol.

DEI part 2 is because their hands were tied after playing DEI part 1.

There's a difference in saying someone is a DEI pick when they're not qualified and saying someone is a brown woman so she must be woke! Maybe Harris isn't woke and is just jumping ships to whichever one will further her career. I guess if she gets elected, we'll have the answer.

Danica is spot on.

Call me crazy but I believe women might think Trump is untrustworthy based on the Access Hollywood tape, the overturning of Roe, the civil penalties against him for sexual assault and defamation, his multiple failed marriages as well as the ham fisted and illegal attempt to pay off a porn star who he banged while his wife was pregnant.

Bishop, the voice of Black America ladies and gentlemen!
You don't think a white person can tell when a black person changes accents? Is that your position? You think none of us can tell what she's doing? The words you use and how you express your ideas when talking to different people is common. We all speak differently in a casual situation with friends compared to how we might speak when addressing a group of people in a professional setting or speaking to strangers. However, normal people don't change accents unless they're putting on a false front, being phony, or pandering to the people they're faking the accent for. We've all heard Kamala give speeches, talk casually, be interviewed, and etc. The homegirl accent and the Southern accent are transparent and phony. She's phony. We all laughed when Kelly did it in his first speech at LSU. We're laughing at Kamala now for exactly the same reason.

Do you think the black person that helps you at the DMV talks the same way to you as they do to their family? Lol

Like wtf is even the point of this?

She slips into/uses African American English which is a recognized and distinct dialect. So crazy that a black person would doing such a thing!

News flash, just about every African American I’ve ever hung out with uses that dialect when they are in a comfortable setting.

Hilarious seeing an uninformed white dude attempting to be an authority on this.

Don't do your Toronto impersonation and willfully misunderstand and misrepresent what I said. It's the hallmark of someone who can't refute a position with facts, so they change it to make it easier to reply to. I said her accent, not her dialect, changed. Please tell me I don't have to explain the difference. She's phony. You know it, I know it, we all know it. She's pandering and talking down to people when she does that.

Cool!

Accent/dialect are basically the same thing.

Since you seem to be the expert on these matters maybe you could inform me on how I should pronounce chingate cabron?

Again, we already have Toronto for spinning and strawman arguing. We don't need another. As for your assertion, you're wrong. Accent and dialect are related, but not the same thing by any means. That's like saying an engine and a care are basically the same thing. No.

From a language teaching website, Duolingo:

Accent refers to pronunciation. Dialect refers to a whole group of language features, including pronunciation, but also differences in vocabulary, grammar, and how the language gets used (like the rules of what counts as polite).

Also, if you actually believe that Kamala Harris is a "DEI hire" you literally don't understand what DEI is, why it is bad, and why it's of paramount importance that it be made illegal in academia/corporate America. And you should probably just :censored: before you set back a movement that has been succeeding over the last 6+ months... you are making everyone who supports getting rid of DEI look like idiots.

I'm afraid they'll make the same mistake as four years ago. All Trump had to do in '20 was hammer the riots & violence that the dems condoned and excused, and all the radical woke nonsense. Just one ad after another of drag queens, trannies, buildings burning, and riots followed by one simple question: "Is this the world you want to live in? Then vote for me, Donald Trump." Instead, he drifted and lost focus with his messaging.

Lol. Now you’re Noam Chomsky too! Cool!

Maybe you can inform everyone on how phonemes are used to construct languages?

I think IrishLax would refer to you as being “overly pedantic”.

You'd really do better to just admit you were wrong about her using phony accents on multiple occasions instead of the strawman thing trying to conflate dialect & accent, trying to insist we can't tell the difference between her normal voice and the phony accents she uses to try and pander to different groups, or that me knowing the difference between two rather different things when you didn't is pedantic. Nice try though. Again, we already have someone who fails at this on a regular basis. If the job comes open, we've got your number.

So, if Trump loses again how does the GOP move on?

Does he make another run in 2028? Maybe one of his dipshit kids gives it a go?

I just don’t see this mf going away no matter what. He’s like penicillin resistant gonorrhea.

He' woulda already be gone after this year if they didn't rig the last election 🤐

He loves the spotlight, so he'll probably still endorse candidates after this election, win or lose. I can't imagine trying again after a 2nd failed attempt though. I figure the GOP throws enough money at him that he doesn't run if that's the case. Personally I can't imagine going through additional litigation and legal attacks just to run again, not to mention he survived an assassination attempt. I would have hung it up and retired somewhere quiet personally.
