We all speak differently in a casual situation with friends compared to how we might speak when addressing a group of people in a professional setting or speaking to strangers. However, normal people don't change accents unless they're putting on a false front, being phony, or pandering to the people they're faking the accent for. We've all heard Kamala give speeches, talk casually, be interviewed, and etc. The homegirl accent and the Southern accent are transparent and phony. She's phony. We all laughed when Kelly did it in his first speech at LSU. We're laughing at Kamala now for exactly the same reason.
