It's that she's completely dishonest and has flipped on very important policy points that she has believed and fought for over the entire course of her career until the last 10 days. Also she has not come out and spoken to any of these policy flips, she's done so through campaign surrogates and is relying on the helpful press to carry the water for her and use said flips to attack republicans.

I also have no illusion that Trump is an ideologically coherent person. However, while I did not vote for Trump in 2016, I acknowledge that on most things he ruled (or at least deferred) to an overall more conservative means of governance and a foreign policy that knocks the doors off of what Biden and Harris have done.

I am old enough to remember the far distant time of 2020 where Kamala spoke and advocated for all of these political opinions that she personally espoused and is now soft-flip-flopping from via campaign surrogates. No doubt she is a political opportunist who used her term as a senator to poke Republican's in the eye. Look at her career history and tell me if she's progressive.

You'd be really shocked to find out that the terms "left" and "right" wing weren't developed in the US, but in a far off country called France. The point is any of these running mates are picked with a pragmatic goal of trying to shore up support with one group or another. People from one state(Kelly/Shapiro), people from one religion (Pence), people from one sex (Palin), one race (Kamala), etc. They're chosen to try and broaden the appeal of their nominee and help get them elected.
