So weird, this kid has started and beeN at Cal for 4 years and he has like 600 Followers on twitter. Strange how some schools just don't care about football.
Okay, the transfer of Avery will officially put us at 4 available scholarships for 5th years as it stands today.
Geez, man, will you let it go? We all know you wsnt Schmidt kicked out of ND. Just stop, he's a RKG and your hate for him is insane.

Just looked him up and he is a former 4 star out of Georgia (#11 safety in the 2011 class). Had offers from a lot of excellent programs, including Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, Oklahoma, Stanford, UCLA, etc.).

Schmidt
Martin (?)
Farley
Golson (?)
Thoughts?
And Ishaq officially becomes one of the bigger busts in recent ND history. Shame. I was looking forward to what he could (possibly) offer this year. That's what I'm thinking, although we'll have to see with Golson after the Spring. We will likely have more room with transfers out as well, we always do.

That's the big thing that none of us can fully speculate about. Only the staff know those little nuances that could possibly lead to defection. Who knows what conversations they have had with specific players and their families.
What happened to the Koon man? Ban hammered?

Yeah he quite simply is the bust of recent memory. Must have just plateaued out in HS. Just goes to show recruiting rating ratings oftentimes do not mean a thing.
So hearing the bust talk, does this mean Ishaq is definitely done? I am/was still hoping he would come back and have a big year.

Well this is great news. Position of need! And if it works out as well as the Riggs deal did then that will be awesome! How long will it take for this to play out and we will know for sure?
Nothing is official yet, at least that I've seen. However, he's notably (by BK) on a longer and more difficult road back than KVR. When you combine that with Ishaq's sometimes lack of motivation, I don't feel very good about it. Here's to hoping he gets his stuff together. He's an NFL DE, if he could just flip the damn switch.
For the sake of staying on topic, there is a thread for this.
