Lol, Joe (condomnsuck) is a friend of mine.

That said I can't believe he didnt push for my banning himself.

He's also a terrible person and loves bringing opposing fans to ND's stadium.

Glad you guys had a good time - I bet it was a fun time.

Wait, I always assumed IrishLion was a female??

It’s one thing when I stand up for you to the other mods on the Internet where I have anonymity...

But to besmirch my good name after I’ve defended your honor to real, living humans? After I withstood the many offers of monetary compensation and copious amounts of free alcohol?

How dare you, sir.

Oh man...you might want to take that back! At the tailgate yesterday we tried to offer IrishLion $20 each to ban you and he absolutely refused! condoms SUCk stood up for you too.

Hey I mean...if the money is still on the table...

I can't believe people from this site actually get together and hang out in the real world. It kind of blows my mind. I mean, I guess I have done it before but it still blows my mind.

Also, I hope you all got smashed and had a blast. I definitely did while tailgating at Lucas Oil for the IU-BSU game on Saturday.

Here's a pic from the IE crew at Louisville yesterday! The posters are the guys from left to right: "IrishLion", "ulukinatme", "arndtjc", Guy (Soon to be new poster, but has been a guest lurker in the past), and another poster who shall remain nameless. Not pictured are "condoms SUCk" and "Irish #1." condoms SUCk hung out at the tailgate with us most of the day, but headed to the stadium a bit earlier than us, so we missed getting a pic with him. Irish #1 parked closer at stadium and arndtjc and I met up with him for a bit after the game.

All these gents, pictured and unpictured, were top notch. Absolutely great tailgate, and a welcome place to hang out behind enemy lines (Many thanks to our tailgate host for hosting and doing the cooking, he made some great brats with onion and peppers! I forgot to try the chicken, but I heard good things). If you ever have the opportunity to tailgate with these gentlemen I highly recommend it.

Wearing sandals to a football game on the road is a bold move comrade. You never know if you are gonna find yourself surrounded and in need of some cowboy boots or steel toes.

Eh, I wasn't too worried. I had a pair of shoes with me just in case, but we had only weak ass trash talk from one group of Louisville fans during the tailgate leading up to the game. That group promptly got schooled by a Ball State fan that came to see the game "Our Cardinal kicks your Cardinal's ass." They tucked tail and didn't challenge us again. Supposedly there was a fight that broke out in our section, but otherwise I've seen worse interactions from Michigan fans in South Bend 15+ years ago.

I will say that the Southern hospitality was certainly there on the way into the stadium. One of the Louisville ladies got a little touchy-feely with me as we were waiting 30 minutes to get into the stadium. Seriously, how does it take half an hour to get into a 65k capacity stadium that wasn't even filled to capacity? I can get through the gates and to my seat at ND in 15 minutes or less.

Lol, the closest thing to hostility in our section was ND-on-ND crime.

This dude was yelling about Jawon Pass the entire game, and it got to the point where the guy was yelling "BREAK HIS NECK" and "KILL HIS ASS" every time he dropped back or ran the ball.

At one point late in the game, there were like three plays in a row where Pass ran, and the dude was being annoying, so his wife patted his leg and told him to relax a little.

He then began berating her loudly and yelling at her to not touch him.

Dude was a nut. I feel bad for his wife.

That is the passion we need in ND Stadium

I felt rather reserved most of the game. Usually I'm on my feet and yelling in South Bend, trying to keep opposing offenses from hearing cadences. I found myself mostly just clapping and giving the occasional encouragement in the form of "Lets go, D!" Maybe it was because that was my first away game and I wasn't sure how the crowd would respond, or the fact I realized I was super dehydrated and worn out on the way to the stadium, but I remained pretty reserved Monday night. arndtjc brought plenty of fire for both of us though, Louisville fans were being testy and he was throwing it right back at them lol. After Louisville did their little "First and 10" chant several times, he started mocking them by doing the same thing after each of our first downs...except with exaggerated motions and dripping with sarcasm. They didn't like that

The bride and I prior to kickoff.

I will say, the seats aren't bad in the stadium, but the in game experience lacks compared to ND stadium.

i thought the first and 10 chant was annoying but started losing it's luster by the end of the 3rd. lol

Of course, we were starting to take control of the game by that point, so their enthusiasm was curbed quite a bit by then too lol. Much less energy compared to the beginning of the game.
