I think nearly anyone else would pull a LBJ and go away. But Joe spent 4 decades trying to get here....humiliating himself at every turn.

He doesn't want to go away
He doesn't know what day it is.
I blame Jill.

She's holding on to the bag. She wants the life and the power. She's putting herself over her husband and country. At least the Dems aren't pretending anymore.

Kind of surprised that 54% of registered Dem's still believe that Biden should be running for President.

I'm actually surprised it's that low at 54%. I'd have expected something closer to 65%. Those are the yellow dog Dems who are going to vote for Biden or whoever they nominate no matter what. The dem nominee could have been caught on camera banging a goat, snorting coke, and shouting "Death to America!" and then have a fatal MI, and they'd vote for his corpse and swear he was doing a good job.

It's similar to the conservative bubble that many can find themselves in media diet wise where there's a lot of mental gymnastics folks find themselves doing to excuse everything that Joe is doing. Some folks legitimately believe that it was an unfair debate by CNN and blame the moderators for Joe's fumbling performance; MSNBC said that Joe being on the right side of the stage was done purposefully to make him look bad.

Joe picked the right side.
Joe also picked everything for this debate and Trump agreed to it in a gamble. Imagine that debate with a crowd. You also see people upset saying they didn’t call out trumps lies. Biden had a dozen whoppers.

Anyways, back to the root cause of Americas problems.

Legit this is the thing that struck me second only to the fact that Biden clearly has dementia or some sort of degenerative disease / cognitive decline...

Yes, Trump made up a bunch of stuff and said a lot of batshit crazy things that have no basis in reality. Yes, Trump lied more than Biden. But Biden had at least 5-6 statements that were equally ludicrous. He didn't like *as much as* Trump but he sure as hell wasn't up there being a pillar of truth and morality.

I think it hurt Joe more for the simple fact that many expect Trump to lie. The best thing Trump did was keep his mouth shut while Joe spoke. He gave Joe enough rope to hang himself.

I haven't had a chance to talk to my daughter and get her opinion on Biden. She used to run clinical trials for Dementia and Alzheimer patients.

Complete disaster. Only option is to replace him.
Definitely the only option if they want to win this year. It does come with some risk of all hell breaking loose within the party. Since the opponent is Trump, I’m assuming they would take that risk.

Are there any voters that plan on voting for Biden that wouldn’t for Whitmer, Buttigieg, Newsome? I find it hard to believe many of those people exist. And if they do they’d easily be outweighed by independents and anti trump republicans that would vote for them and not Biden.

The way I'm kinda looking at it now is if Lax is completely checked out on Biden this may be over. Moderates/Indies decide elections.

I would have crawled over broken glass to vote for Biden in 2020. I will probably just sit out 2024 since I consider both unfit to be President for different reasons.

Should we retire this corpse or try to reanimate it?

Reanimate it is.

Blue no matter who plus the TDS crowd is Biden's remaining block which should be pretty resilient from here. The only other way I can see adding depth is picking a non-retarded VP that people could convince themselves is the real person they are voting for. I don't see them dropping Harris though.

Amazing to me that people would rather vote for the shadow government than Trump. WW3 and endless illegal immigration should be more unifying - especially for fragile folks that couldn't leave their house for three years for fear of a cold. Were Trumps first four years really so damaging that you can't get over his personality? Outside of abortion single issue voters, I just can't comprehend the fear of Trump? Marked it all up as dem opposition rhetoric - didn't think anyone halfway reasonable actually bought any of it.

But do you actually not get why people wouldn't want to vote for Trump or are you being more rhetorical with this point? It's not personality. I could list a half dozen or so single events that should be disqualifying for someone to be President and they have nothing to do with lying, mean tweets, demeanor, language, etc.
