Walmart closes stores in lots of locations for a variety of reasons. That has absolutely nothing to do with the closures in Portland. The ones in Portland are being closed because of rampant shoplifting and the local political climate that does nothing to stop it.

Wal-Mart does close locations for a variety of reasons, in fact in their statement they said “The decision to close these stores was made after a careful review of their overall performance. We consider many factors, including current and projected financial performance, location, population, customer needs, and the proximity of other nearby stores when making these difficult decisions. After we decide to move forward, our focus is on our associates and their transition, which is the case here,”

Having another dozen stores in the area was probably a factor. Or it could only be <insert liberal grievance madlibs here>. Florida is probably closing because of too much darn freedom being a factor!

You used a lot of words to avoid saying what everyone knows: Portland's approach to law enforcement and criminal justice is a disaster.

Schumer really doesn't like their narrative getting destroyed. God forbid we get any transparency and see anything other than what they want us to see. He accuses FOX of cherrypicking footage, as if they haven't been doing that the last two years.

I don't really care about the "Qanon Shaman" guy, but 4 years seems pretty damn harsh for a sentence. Everything we've seen from new video and past video shows that guy being harmless and encouraging people to remain peaceful. It seems more likely he got the strict punishment because he was a bit of a mascot for January 6th. I'm all for people spending time behind bars that engaged in violence on that day, but most did not.

You do realize that a contributing factor to "projected financial performance" is the shrinkage they incur. Regardless, do you expect them to make a public statement that says "We are leaving Portland because of the crime experienced at those stores"?

Actually Wal Mart used a lot of words lol. They just didn't use the ones you wanted to weave into the narrative.

Certainly could be one of many factors. Or it could purely be a conservative fever dream I suppose lol. Whatever story floats ones boat.

I realize you think you're being cute and clever. Congratulations. That's a great substitute for substance and honest dialogue. It doesn't change the fact that Democrat policies in Portland regarding law enforcement and criminal justice are a disaster and the primary reason Walmart is closing those stores.

There is only one reason McCarthy gave that stuff exclusively to Tucker which is so that they could whitewash it. You should hear all of the GOP senators that came out today against this clearly political disinformation program. It wasn’t tourists and showing video of people milling about after all the damage was done does nothing. To contradict what they did to get into the Capital. Fuck these traitors and I hope their dicks fall off

“If a conservative says it but is quoted by a libtard did they really say it?”
Hes not conservative. He's basically a Lincoln Project type.

He may have used to be, I sorta doubt it though. Foreign policy hawk... meant for a long time his friends were going to be found on the right side of the aisle.

EDIT: this article sorta articulates my thoughts on the guy.
Has Bill Kristol been a liberal all along?

You mean except for the other 12 still in the metro area? I dunno, and really don't care. I just think it's funny that Bishop saw an opportunity to air his grievances and jumped in with both feet (one named substantive and the other honesty interestingly enough).

If Cack had come on here and posted an article about a Wal Mart closing anywhere in let's say Florida and attributed it entirely to a grab bag of conservative stuff would anyone have mounted their high horse more quickly than Bishop and tut tutted him about using broad brushes for the right and a store closing requires nuance at a much higher level and he's disappointed that Cack would stoop so low and finish with his trademark flourish of this is why nobody takes Cack seriously? Heck we may have even gotten another tale from his youth where conservatives and liberals alike flocked to the local dry goods store and good naturedly discussed the issues of the day (which was obviously an inside joke as his town had no issues).

Oh well, we all get entertained differently I reckon. Portland sucks a fat one, amiright?
