But the discussion isn't about the ones in the suburbs. It's really about Portland's policies and attitude towards policing and how it effected the stores in the city. This has to place some burden on the less fortunate that live in the city as they will have to find alternate places to shop that may not be as cheap or find transportation to the suburbs which may take more time out of their day. We've heard a lot of about grocery deserts and this seems to be something that would contribute to that as well. You mean except for the other 12 still in the metro area? I dunno, and really don't care. I just think it's funny that Bishop saw an opportunity to air his grievances and jumped in with both feet (one named substantive and the other honesty interestingly enough).
If Cack had come on here and posted an article about a Wal Mart closing anywhere in let's say Florida and attributed it entirely to a grab bag of conservative stuff would anyone have mounted their high horse more quickly than Bishop and tut tutted him about using broad brushes for the right and a store closing requires nuance at a much higher level and he's disappointed that Cack would stoop so low and finish with his trademark flourish of this is why nobody takes Cack seriously? Heck we may have even gotten another tale from his youth where conservatives and liberals alike flocked to the local dry goods store and good naturedly discussed the issues of the day (which was obviously an inside joke as his town had no issues).
Oh well, we all get entertained differently I reckon. Portland sucks a fat one, amiright?
