An Alabama town is on the verge of passing an ordinance banning saggy pants and in an effort to be equal to all, they might propose another ordinance banning short-shorts and short dresses for girls.
As reported by the Alex City Outlook, council member Stephanie Kelley says she wants to make sure the ordinance is gender-equal. “I think for the girls, with these shorts up so high looking like under garments and dresses so short, I don’t want us to be showing favoritism.”
The original ordinance seeking to ban saggy pants on boys was cited by one council member as being a matter of "respect" and added he knew "God would not go around with his pants down" after praying on the matter.
Dadeville is located to the northeast of Montgomery, Alabama.
