I suspect more, and more will be trickled out...I don't think the specific attack or the lack of security forces on site is on the POTUS...

I do think the immediate tactical response (or lack thereof), and the PR response to date...the POTUS can't be immunized...

I think it is very reasonable to think he at least knew stand down orders were issued. I think it is very reasonable to think he knew this attack had nothing to do with a movie.

I think his conduct in both cases at least beg questions....the answers to which appear every day to be more likely devastating to the POTUS' ability to be CIC...

If the above string of assumptions are correct then I might agree with you.

The movie BS was a bald faced lie. Team Obama thought they could pull the wool over the eyes of the public long enough to win the election. They miscalculated. Maybe not on the election winning part but definitely on their ability to control the information flow.

I might have some respect if they were truly ignorant of the what happened. It is abundantly clear Obama knew enough of what had happened and made the conscious decision to make up a fairy tale. Liar icing on top of socialist cake.

Nobody on this board knows what happened in Libia. Those who are suggesting emphatically that this happened or that happened are talking out of their a**. If the results of the investigation reveal the administration covered something up, there should be accountability. But it is a bit premature to be suggesting fault at this point.

Claims like this require proof. Your obvious bias is clouding your judgment.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So overdramatic. Because poor people and those not covered by the ACA were just dropping dead in the streets before Obama came along and saved them all?? gimmie a damn break. My God.

And Obama had TWO F*CKING YEARS to do as he pleased. Yet he made a health care bill, that nobody read and is going to cost us way more than he predicted, a priority. Not the economy.

So yeah. I can live without 4 more years of that idiot.

And then he sells out our own guys in Benghazi. Nice icing on the cake. But I'm sure you'll find a way to blame someone else for that as well??

Doesnt the Fed. Gov. foot the bill in these cases? That makes it socialized medicine more then the ACA would.

Mosiac theory. Start with two weeks of emphasis on some dumb video on the internet, end with real time footage of the attack and extensive communications requesting help. I find it inconcievable the president was clueless and passive in this entire affair. He may not have been involved during the thick of the event but he damn sure would have been briefed about an ambassador being killed and how this event would be communicated to the public.

How exactly do the apologists account for two weeks of lying about a video, to the extent of hunting down the maker of the video?

I don't see any proof in your statements at all. None. Please be objective. If you have real proof I would love to see it. All I'm seeing here is a conspiracy theory.

Maybe Rachel Maddow doesn't show footage of the administration blaming a spontaneous attack provoked by an internet video for two weeks after the attack on his show.

It is hard to prove something to someone running around with their eyes shut and fingers in their ears yelling "I AM NOT LISTENING TO YOU" - that would be paraphrasing 90% of what is said on this thread by Obama supporters.

You're telling me I'm simply not looking hard enough for the proof right before my eyes? That's your argument?

He could find OBL....but didn't know what was going on with his own Embassy in a country that he bypassed congress (yes, you can downplay that all you want, but it is what it is) to help fight a war in.

You realize that when you call a consulate an embassy, you kind of undermine your own point.

Beyond the nitpickery, it's stunning that Republicans, who are calling for huge cuts to the State Department's budget, are looking to point fingers over what was essentially a security failure. It's even more stunning that people are looking to point to this event as an indication that Obama's overall Middle-east strategy has failed; ten Libyans gave their lives trying to defend the American Consulate and thousands staged a counter-protest in the days following the attack. Finally, it's absolutely mind boggling that people are pointing to this (or Mali) as signs that Al-Qaeda is back. Anybody who knows anything about Al-Qaeda at this point knows that it is more of a brand name than a coherent organization: Obama, the CIA, and the US Military shattered the organization. Any militant with a desire to draw attention to his cause can slap the AQ name on it, and it appears that's what happened in Libya.

Forty years from now, the wars in Iraq and Libya will be studied as a pair. The Iraq war will be seen as the end of, and ultimately the failure of, the Revolution in Military Affairs. Libya will be seen as one of the answers* to the strategic question posed by the failure of the RMA in Iraq. Obama's limited use of force in support of a popular uprising will influence generations of military and political thinkers to come.

*FM 3-24 will be seen as the other answer, one which ultimately demanded way more than our country was willing to give.

And bite us in the a$$ as it's done before.

Sticking our nose in these kinds of things is the problem.

...by an obvious moron.
Summary:

Obama didn't do anything bad, but everything good that has happened is because of him.

Because, he's awesome.

Thanks, brain dead, liberal woman. Quit screwing around and get to those dishing and my dinner. #rightwingwaronwomen

You were saying earlier that you only make arguments based on the merits of the position, no?

Funny thing is, when it came to the Obamacare part...no numbers. Just the typical "everyone gets health care"

Typical liberal fear politics (Love to use that now after it was drilled into our heads during Bush)

It reads almost like a campaign piece written by Obama staff. Therefore, he/she is a moron.

"I yearn for the day when people are no longer scorned and discriminated against because they love someone of their own gender."

I think conservatives have pretty much cornered the market in "Fear Politics".

Anywho, you keep implying that the President doesn't give us access to facts/numbers. That is simply untrue. You can read the entire plan (even the hard numbers) on the site they designed specifically for people to find out the details of the plan.

Health Reform in Action | The White House

If there is one thing that is absolutely true about the President, is that he has given us more access to his plans possibly than any other President in history. Romney is the one that hasn't explained how he is possibly going to follow through on anything that he has promised.

I'm guessing you wont read the site though. You make up your mind on every Obama policy before you know what they are. That's what is wrong with politics today. So many people would rather get the "facts" from talking heads at their "news" channel of preference instead of actually trying to find the real facts.
