Pokemon Go

On my way over to Chipotle I tried to use radar and stuff like that and didn't find a single Pokemon. On the way back, I walked aimlessly down the main street and found a dozen Pokemon.

So is the game about wandering and hoping for the best? Also, does incubating work while driving?

I hadn't eaten Chipotle in a long, long time (District Taco is far superior) but now I'm all in for the next three months. Gonna get myself a catered party.

Yea but it's still free it's not like we invested anything other than time or emotions into it. It's nothing like Rome 2 total war, where I payed $60 and could barley play the first 2 months due to bugs/crashing issues. I mean that should be a fucking crime.

Idk about how long the beta was but I know they based this largely off Igress or something like that, which supposedly ran well and had decent reports.

Copies of those are expensive. I still have my GBA SP, but a copy of either of those is like $60.

Yeah but all of the GameBoy Advances for sale on eBay appear to be covered in herpes juice. Aspyr ported Knights of the Old Republic to mobile and sold it for $9.99. They could probably do Pokemon Red and Blue and about twenty minutes and sell it for $4.99.

The memory battery on my original Silver cartridge broke, and I pitched it before realizing you could repair them.

Some day, I'll have the cash to buy the entire collection in mint condition.

I will say that there is no way that they could have expected the amount of people who are playing it. I see people all over my facebook feed who I know have NEVER played Pokemon and still are talking about how they downloaded and are playing Pokemon Go. I guess they only expected to rope in the nerds and not all the casuals as well.

Agree. A 40 something year old I work with who knows nothing about Pokemon downloaded and is playing the game. Same for his wife. They never watched the show, collected cards, etc...

In order to get one of your pokemon in a gym, you need to lower the "prestige" of a gym to 0. For example, if an enemy gym is level 2 (4000 prestige, 2000 per pokemon), it means that there are two pokemon that are in that gym. One pokemon per level of prestige so to speak. In order to take over an enemy gym, you need to beat the pokemon inside of it. If a gym has two pokemon and you beat both pokemon, the lowest leveled pokemon is then booted from the gym and the prestige of the gym is downgraded by a level (goes 2000 points down). However, the gym is still "owned" by whatever faction owned it previously. When a gym only has one pokemon remaining and you beat it, the gym then becomes neutral. You can then deposit one of your pokemon there and the gym will then be controlled by your team. Sorry for the long description, but I hope it makes sense.

You can buy another incubator, but it will have limited uses. You can also be gifted an additional incubator at a Pokestop. From what I've read, any pokemon that is 2K to hatch is trash. The 5K eggs are the best.

OK so if there are like 100 people playing in DC, how the hell am I going to get one of two or three slots in a gym? Seems impossible.
