Just released in the United States. Seems like a really cool idea. Anyone gonna play? I love phone game time wasters, and Pokemon was pretty much the first game I played in elementary school.

I'm glad someone else brought it up because I was too insecure/lazy to do it myself! IT'S AWESOME! Well, actually right now its just ok, but it's such great nostalgia. There seems to be a lot of bugs to work out and it isn't terribly intuitive so you kind of just have to figure it out as you go.

All of that being said, I had a blast when I got home from work just wandering around the neighborhood catching pokemon. I even found a nearby park that I previously had no idea about and will likely now frequent - how cool is that?!

Certainly something I will likely be playing for a while and I can't wait to play as I travel across the country at the end of the month! If nothing else, this should help dull the pain of these last two months before the real fun starts! Reps for starting the thread and I hope the other IE junkies get into it!

Downloaded it last night on my Android. but when I tried to register, it said their servers were having issues.

On my way back from grabbing breakfast, I just stood in the parking lot throwing like 20 pokeballs at this little fucker (I clearly don't understand the mechanic yet lol...). I must've looked like a total idiot.

Downloaded it last night. Pretty fun so far.

It's cool when you get near a pokemon you have to find them with your camera.

Also impressed with the pokestops. My hospital has several large statues on different floors and the game recognizes them as stops. Even knows the name of each different statue.

They run out but you can use the same pokestop multiple times to replenish. just makes you wait several minutes.

I work on a college campus, and apparently Pokemon love to hang out on keyboards and in cubicles.

Also, I've had several friends talk about having bug Pokemon in their basement... I want to know how the game KNOWS that I'm gonna have a basement. What if I have a ranch-style home lol?

I am already addicted. Caught two Pokémon at my desk and another in the bathroom. There are like 100+ places within a half mile of me so I may wander at lunch. Going to be awkward doing this on the streets but oh well.

Yeah, I'm doing a tubing/beer river trip in a month with a bunch of other couples... which now has a side group text about how this is going to be a tubing/beer/GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL trip.

The best part of the games growing up as a little kid was thinking about how cool it would be if your pet was a pokemon, and if you could go play outside and catch new ones. This game might get old really fast... but the whole augmented reality aspect where I can go walk on the waterfront in Georgetown looking for a staryu seems, at the moment, totally rad.

Also, I look forward to smacking down some weak ass bitches at my neighborhood gym when the opportunity presents itself.

Oh crap I am totally hooked on this game. I just downloaded it an hour ago and have caught 5 pokemon. My bus takes me by like 8 poke stops, so as the bus passes I can swipe them and replenish my inventory. I'm going exploring at lunch time.
