This team is awesome. We, like every other team have area's of opportunity, but more than anything else, we need everything to come together for this young man.

This is what I'm praying for, that something clicks and it all comes together on Saturday evening against Miami. Please feel free to add your prayers.

GO IRISH!!

If he can play consistently like the flashes of brilliance we have seen from him this team could be scary good..

I'd like to see a stout running game with some 80 yard bombs mixed in for good measure. I think Golson helps ND hang 50 tomorrow. I think Miami is worse than Navy.

I'm sorry, but no. No they are not.

defensively, this is a possibility. Offensively, they are not even in the same world as Navy. They have better athletes on defense than Navy did, but they are probably less disciplined and not as bright as Navy.

Have you seen how Navy has done since playing ND? They are terrible this year.

KSU hung 50 on them!

How are they not worse than Navy? KSU hung 50. NC State and Georgia Tech both blow this year and both games were nailbiters. I believe Navy and Miami would be a close game and Navy would pull it out based on the fact that both teams lack talent but at least Navy has honor and integrity and we will never hear their announcers do this

"You don't come into the OB...."

? If you wanna say that Navy is the better, more ethical program over Miami, then that's fine. But "honor and integrity" aren't usually things that help a team win. Perseverance, discipline, etc. yes, but honor and integrity don't usually coincide with winning a football game.

Edit: You also have to consider the fact that KSU, Tech and NCSU are all better than anyone Navy has faced this season, outside of Notre Dame.

Being a Trojan fan you would know that better than anyone else on this board.

Edit: Couldn't help myself.

Yea, Miami is not worse than Navy...

But, Miami is, IMO, a team suffering from over-confidence coming into this game. They rallied against a few sub-par defenses.. They will not feel or respect the momentum of ND's defense until it punches them in the mouth.

ND must come out with the killer instinct and crush whatever hopes the hurricanes come in with early.

It's imperative for Everett to have a complete game tomorrow. Apparently Tommy's been getting the majority of the 1st team reps this week even though Everett was announced as the starter. If he has another turd game like Michigan he may eventually take the back seat before November comes around.

I think it was reported that Tommy got the majority of first team reps during the bye week, not this week.

I don't know why that made me laugh, but it did. Thanks

Everett had a slight injury problem which probably contributed to the week with fewer reps. He was taking most of the first team reps this week. I think this game will most likely be a turning point game for him. He has some games under his belt. He has had time to digest what he did well and what he needs to do better. Miami's d has many weaknesses (NC State had their way with them and K State ate them for lunch), I think our guys can run against them and I think Everett will be looking at a lot of favourable single coverage (Golson to Eifert all over the field and Daniels and maybe Brown deep a couple times) I also expect the d to ride the momentum and give Miam's offense a beat down c/w multiple turnovers.

Does this mean that he will have lots of good plays, and will be the star of the next Turning Point highlight video?

I certainly hope so. ;)

I expect him to make a real step forward in terms of consistency. But I am bullish on Golson anyway so I am biased. But there have been plays of sheer brilliance from him and his low passing percentage is distorted by the number of times he has thrown the ball away intentionally. I think he is overdue for a long run on a designed keeper.
