I feel about Harding pretty much the same as I did about Ludwig- good, but not great. B+

He does have a lot of involvement in helping run his team’s offenses, so that would be a definite bonus working with Parker Posey.

Pivot to Joffrey as his HC, who may take a more aggressive passing approach with the offense than Ludwig, and then swoop in and poach Harding to implement the running scheme Ludwig would be doing anyway.

Best of everything- you get the Utahesque running game, better (perhaps) passing game, bring in good, experienced OL coach that you need anyway, and you still get to hire your buddies who you trust.

I am disappointed we didn't get a BIG name w/ a great reputation but get a fucking grip....unless you're in tight w/ the coaches and players, you have NO damn clue how he is as a coach, respect he commands, and overall how well he is able to draw up plays.....coaches all the time have jobs where they struggled only to be great at a different spot...,coaches can improve as well w/ experience....you can be the best x and o guy but if you have subpar players, how do you expect the execution to be great which in turn makes the coach look good. people bitched about Tommy but he was working with a MAC level qb but people on here think they know more than a college OC who was hired by the GOAT...idgaf if he was the last one Saban wanted, Saban still wanted him and that should speak volumes. This board is turning into a cesspool of loud mouth fans who really don't know shit but want to yell how to best run a DIV I football program......and as far as how this was all handled...lets be real, the beat has NO CLUE and the media who has had info is only being shared by someone, so they could certainly leak whatever narrative they wanted it to look...He's the OC now, so let him at least coach a game or two before a critique can be made whether he can or can't do the job.

I get the "WVU personnel" reasoning, but what did he show to suggest he was the best hire for any P5 job, let alone a program allegedly striving for elite status? I want to be wrong, but he's not it.

At least Ludwig has been calling plays for ages, has a history of QB development and as an added bonus, is our highest rival's daddy. He wasn't sexy, but he was an established, successful OC. Maybe Parker turns out ok, but I guess I'd feel better if he had ANY history suggesting all he needed was the right staff or personnel around him.

How do you know until he has a crack at it? Not being MF's first choice doesn't mean he won't be capable.
