Sucks at his job. Too late to fire him now, but he needs to be gone after this yr. He’s a worse recruiter than Del Alexander.

I know you're banned again (Hooray!) But I also get the impression you're reading every word said to you and that it's killing you not to be able to respond, so respond I shall. Spite/pettiness is one of the great currencies of the internet, after all.

Judging from your posts, you are an expert at sucking. So there's something to be said for your expertise. Then again, you're not an expert at anything beyond sucking and being a loser who needs to touch grass. So...🤷‍♂️ Gonna go ahead and give your opinion the weight it deserves. Enjoy yet another banishment.

You want to fire everybody. You demanded Rudolph be fired if he didn’t get a certain kid. Why don’t you just get it all out here and give a list of who needs to be fired. . Maybe it’s easier and shorter if you give a list of what coaches you think can be retained.

If there’s a better Chris O’Leary thread, a mod can move this post to the appropriate thread,

But I’m here to eat my crow.

I was a big critic of Chris O’Leary all offseason, both as a coach and recruiter. He’s proving me wrong in both categories.

He’s developed Xavier Watts into an All-American and the safety group, as a whole, were solid. DJ Brown was annoying sometimes, but was generally okay.

Finally, he’s starting to get some recruits. Shuler, Johnson, and Taylor are guys you can definitely work with.

I really struggle with the safety spot this year. The highest of highs with watts this year and the lowest of lows with Brown. If brown makes routine plays, despite how bad the offense was, we beat OSU and clemson, and have somewhat of a shot vs louisville.

Two predictions:

Watt declares for the draft

O’Leary gets more NFL offers & ends up accepting one.

The funny thing about Brown was he was always in the perfect position, which is all you can ask for from the Safety coach from a coaching perspective. And Brown dropped like 3-4 INTs, but those are still PBUs.
And the drop versus OSU sucked, but the 3rd & 19 & 10 men on the field were worse. His drop still caused an incompletion and set up 3rd & forever.

It’s a shame this is his only thread. I was out on him initially because the recruiting was extremely poor. Guy can coach though, and he will be a big loss. Recruiting was really looking up as well

this could make us lose that safety from Florida because Leary is one of the main reasons he chose our irish from what i've read in the past.

I bagged on his recruiting early, he completely flipped that script as of the '25 S class.

The S room excelled during his time in ND, his resume there is great.

But it wasn't until I saw a mic'd up feature and listened to him a few times that I saw what's ahead.

This guy will be a star. Big star someday soon. Total Sean McVay vibes.

Congrats to him I guess. I get wanting to go to the NFL but not for Harbaugh.

He “supposedly” has to leave college for his reoccurring infractions. Everyone on this board bashed him for the way he was. Good luck working with him.

Have any of the talking heads mentioned any candidates to replace him?

NIL probably helped those two guys who didn’t seem great at recruiting before it came into play.
It didn't hurt that we traded a lazy recruiting HC in Kelly for a beast in Freeman. That's when real change began.

The dude had a front and center, participatory role in the roller coaster recruitment of Peyton Bowen. Can’t fault anyone for wanting to remove that aspect of their professional life.

That’s a massive coup for a MAC program to get
I was gonna say! At first glance, it seems like a step down. He must have felt it was the right environment for him to develop his resume as a coordinator/defensive playcaller

I think there’s a chance if Ash doesn’t work out maybe you see a O’Leary Mickens co defensive coordinators down the road
