Sucks at his job. Too late to fire him now, but he needs to be gone after this yr. He’s a worse recruiter than Del Alexander.
I know you're banned again (Hooray!) But I also get the impression you're reading every word said to you and that it's killing you not to be able to respond, so respond I shall. Spite/pettiness is one of the great currencies of the internet, after all.Sucks at his job. Too late to fire him now, but he needs to be gone after this yr. He’s a worse recruiter than Del Alexander.
You want to fire everybody. You demanded Rudolph be fired if he didn’t get a certain kid. Why don’t you just get it all out here and give a list of who needs to be fired. . Maybe it’s easier and shorter if you give a list of what coaches you think can be retained.Sucks at his job. Too late to fire him now, but he needs to be gone after this yr. I really struggle with the safety spot this year. The highest of highs with watts this year and the lowest of lows with Brown. If brown makes routine plays, despite how bad the offense was, we beat OSU and clemson, and have somewhat of a shot vs louisville. If there’s a better Chris O’Leary thread, a mod can move this post to the appropriate thread,
But I’m here to eat my crow.
I was a big critic of Chris O’Leary all offseason, both as a coach and recruiter. He’s proving me wrong in both categories.
He’s developed Xavier Watts into an All-American and the safety group, as a whole, were solid. DJ Brown was annoying sometimes, but was generally okay.
Finally, he’s starting to get some recruits. Shuler, Johnson, and Taylor are guys you can definitely work with.
The funny thing about Brown was he was always in the perfect position, which is all you can ask for from the Safety coach from a coaching perspective. And Brown dropped like 3-4 INTs, but those are still PBUs.I really struggle with the safety spot this year. The highest of highs with watts this year and the lowest of lows with Brown. It’s a shame this is his only thread. I was out on him initially because the recruiting was extremely poor. Guy can coach though, and he will be a big loss. Recruiting was really looking up as well
I thought the same.NIL probably helped those two guys who didn’t seem great at recruiting before it came into play.
Have any of the talking heads mentioned any candidates to replace him?
Most of what I'm seeing involve Mickens taking on the entire DB group, rather than bringing someone else in.
It didn't hurt that we traded a lazy recruiting HC in Kelly for a beast in Freeman. That's when real change began.NIL probably helped those two guys who didn’t seem great at recruiting before it came into play.
Lance Taylor is still the coach right? How have they been doing? That’s a massive coup for a MAC program to get
pretty meh hes 10-15 in his time there, lost their recent bowl game to South AlabamaLance Taylor is still the coach right? How have they been doing?
I was gonna say! At first glance, it seems like a step down. He must have felt it was the right environment for him to develop his resume as a coordinator/defensive playcallerThat’s a massive coup for a MAC program to get
