The best new about being a fan is we don't have a 24 hour rule, hopefully the teams ticks to it

AT&T TV Commercial - "Hello" Largest 4G Network - YouTube

Poor kid, they cut out his next line.
He says:
"Nice to meet you Coach Stoops, but Bob Diaco is at my house for dinner and I don't want to keep him waiting."

Look out THIS year!

The Good
- Everett Golson balled today. He showed poise and toughness. Made no bad decisions
- Oline dominated. Golic was part of the block that broke Cierre for the play of the game.
- OU rushed for 15 yards. Our defense is amazing.
- Kelly outcoached Stoops... plain and simple

The Bad
- Kyle Brindza continues to be inaccurate. I believe this to be caused by inexperience, but he was there when we needed him to ice it, so I cant complain too much.

The Ugly
- Kenny Stills attitude. I doubt NFL scouts will turn on this tape and like either his attitude or play in this game.

As someone who stopped watching to go to the bars right after the Riddick TD, what happened?

He told Manti to go away when an Oklahoma player was down injured. Then he caught a "touchdown" and was jawing at Bennett Jackson even though the game was over. Next play he throws down Russell and gets offensive pass interference. Next play Landry Jones tries to give him a hi-five as support and he knocks it away. He completely embarrassed himself on national TV and I feel bad for his family.

Jawed off to Russel (right?) when he had a long catch just shy of a TD with less than 30 seconds in the game left.

Then had a blatant offensive pass interference to take away his TD catch the next play.

Edit: Dang you Title2014! Beat me to it. lol

The Qb Jones and Wr Stills were on the opposite ends of the spectrum.

Qb showed no fight/energy/leadership whatsoever it was embarrassing and Stills going overboard with emotion and embarrassing himself.

I understand where the kid is coming from though, not condoning the behavior, but his team was just embarrassed and punched in the mouth on national television. He's a competitor who let his emotions get the best of him. He surely needs more self control and discipline, but atleast he didnt take off his helmit and use it as a club Da U did.

Great game!!

Game ball to Golson and Teo (will Coach give 2?)! Pretty sweet to see the Golson - Brown connection and Ok WR lose it in the end.

Great win!!!!!

Notre Dame to doubters: Take that! - southbendtribune.com

Impressive Notre Dame wins the Irish way - southbendtribune.com
All eyes turn to South Bend and I'm 0-8 baby and must pick Pittsburgh this week. Golson was the best athlete on the field and the o line was precise with technique/power. It was a site to see-Norman quiet. Now let someone say Notre Dame hasnt played anyone. This defense is so disciplined that they cover for each others mistakes. Kelly has done one hellova job. How about a few decals for me being 0-8. Notre Dame was simply better than OU in their place. It was obvous to the eye Notre Dame had the horses now they have to deal with everyone telling them how good they are. I'm taking Pittsburgh to upset them next week. 0-9 baby and on my my to the Colisiem 0-11.

The poise the Notre Dame players showed during this episode by Stills is precisely why the college football world needs teams like Notre Dame. Stills showed himself to be an @#$.

Having seen countless games since the 60's, this game was incredible and will go down in Irish lore for decades to come.
Yopu wouldn't believe the Irish Nation that was omnipresent in Norman/OKC. Parking lot was full of Irish faithful.

Kudos to the coaching staff; Golson grew up BIG TIME; Manti continues to impose his will; late in the game, it seemed like I had gone back in time to when Holtz would unleash the punishing clock-eating game-ending drives.
Never saw a crowd so throw in the towel on their team...people were leaving midway through the 4th when I was just hoping Irish would hang in.
I'll remember this for a long time......

Great halftime adjustments by the coaching staff.

I was a little puzzled by Diaco's decision to rush only 3 defenders most of the time, but it worked out pretty good. The defense gave up only what, one or two big plays?

Also, utilizing Golson's legs more, in the second half, seemed to keep drives moving, and the clock running.

You know what impressed me most? When Oklahoma came out in the fast tempo, they were moving the ball and I was worried about our guys getting gassed. Well guess who got gassed first? Oklahoma. When they stopped the fast tempo, their guys were more spent than ours.

That told me all I needed to know.

Being one of the REALLY old guys on the board, I will say this:
This game will become "historical" only if one or more of these three things happen---

a]. we continue to win and go undefeated through the regular season. Then this game will be remembered as the game our team showed the nation that Notre Dame is BACK and watch out from now on.

b]. Everett Golson continues to play at least as well as he did tonight and as he improves, we look back at this game as the game that he turned the corner, and became NOT the quarterback that opposing DCs planned to lose the game, but the quarterback that they feared would embarrass them.

c]. Manti Te'o wins the Heisman, and we remember his Heisman Moment as he gathers in the tipped pass vs the Mighty Sooners to sink their hopes.

I believe that "a" is quite possible now, and that USC might pose slightly less trouble than we think because 1). Oklahoma's lines are both better; and 2). Lee is deadliest by big playing you, which is just what we don't allow. Still, one game at a time --- Pitt is very physical.

I believe that "c" will not happen, but there's an "aura" forming around Manti. Big awards are Beauty Contests more than actual "objective analysis" and Manti is looking like the Belle of the Ball in so many dimensions, that this is starting to gain some legs, I think.

I'm praying that this is the upward break in the Curve for Everett, but I need the next games to fully buy it. Fingers crossed for him.

An absolute joy of a game. Legend?? Not quite yet, youngsters.

Doesn't matter. I can almost guarantee he won't win but I can also almost guarantee he will be in New York and that is HUGE. The attention for the program and Te'o. The fact that a defensive player gets that far. You can't buy that much publicity.

I'm about to go to bed after a long travel day back from Norman. I had a blast watching ND put the beatdown on OU. Their fans are straight quitters and it was glorious "blue." On a sidenote, I met Johnnykilz before the game. Great trip all around!

I decided to check out land thieves and found they largely blame the loss on officiating. Hilarious.

Not sure how you can say with that such certainty. Right now, it's a 2-man race between Klein and Te'o. If both teams win out, which is very possible, I think it'd go to Te'o; he has all the intangibles in his favor, and as OMM said, it's based more on storylines than objective analysis. Te'o simply has a better story.

From an oldtimers perspective of watching games since '65 I will say this goes right up there with any of the big games that weren't for the NC or a major bowl game before the BCS. I agree that it will take it's place among the greatest ever if this season ends the way it has been going.

Who hates Tommy now? Kid comes in ice cold for one play and converts a huge 3rd down pass while the game was still tight.

It was indeed "the Perfect Storm".
