I agree with all you wrote. But, South Carolina vs UGA has no issue moving the game to today.

I think I heard none of the 10 DI games played in NC were postponed. So it's not just the ACC.

TBF... I don't think anyone along the NC coast / OBX were thinking it was going to be as bad as it was and it was also supposed to veer out to the ocean on Sat mid afternoon once it passed Charleston. I followed every update each hour and the path had been very accurate. It had been very accurate up til Sat. Afternoon. It in fact continued up the coast. It's my opinion that up until the decision was made the de idiom was being made based on the fact the storm was just supposed to be the outer bands of heavy rain and not tropical storm conditions.

Yep. Just checked the NOAA NHC archive. As late as 8am update from Saturday morning the storm was supposed to turn hard east after passing Charleston/ Georgeteown. So most likely the decision was made and the storm changed course from the projection and it was too late to cancel outright. Obviously the decision was made based on many factors. I still don't know know why they did but if all the games were played in the area it seems to me that it was decided that conditions would be acceptable.

Sorry for my remarks. Just frustrated that I sat through a monsoon for that debacle. I won't be at Stanford but will be at the Virginia Tech game.

It's all good. I sat through the South Florida debacle too, I felt the same way in that one. I don't mind the rain, I actually enjoy it, but having full stadium evacuations twice...and watching us finally get some momentum at times only to get evacuated again...it was an awful game. I imagine that's probably how you felt yesterday. It felt like we were beating ourselves with our gameplan and shooting ourselves in the foot.

I've got my Stanford tickets and was supposed to get some Virginia Tech ones as a gift from family (Grandparents were to give us their November tickets when they go south for the winter), but an uncle that doesn't get to see too many games snatched 'em up. Wifey had already asked off from her weekend job for me to go to that VT game, so I'm a bit disappointed I won't be there...she's losing cash for nothing. Wouldn't mind visiting with some posters at the Stanford game though and sharing some beer. We'll be very close to the stadium, in the lot in front of Legends. If anyone is gonna be there, hit me up beforehand. I met LA and the Mrs. at one game, and that was pretty cool.

I'm curious why everyone is complaining about the gameplan. I was not at the game nor was I at the Clemson game last year so I do not know if the weather was A LOT worse than last year. Both games were played during a hurricane. Against Clemson we had 34 passing and 32 rushing plays. Against NCState we had 26 passing and 38 rushing plays. However, I do not know how many of these "rushing plays" in both games were actually passing plays that broke down. Before anyway says "we had Will Fuller for Clemson" he had two catches for 37 yards.

The passing just wasn't working, and we stuck with it despite that fact. Obviously we did passing in Clemson and threw it for over 300 yards, but that was an entirely different receiving group aside from Hunter. Even Prosise was part of that, especially in the 2nd half. NC State made adjustments in the 2nd half, and we seemed to continue with what wasn't working.

And if i recall the wind wasn't near as bad for Clemson.

Was it televised? Serious question, because I thought about them but I couldn't see anywhere that showed what network they were on.
