Zero compliments for ND from Howard and Fowler, just jumping straight to the 'who have they played'.
Howard praised us up and down last week, talking about us versus Stanford as two excellent defenses but us having the difference maker at quarterback.

I was in South Bend all day so I have no idea what they said last week.

But this week, not a hint of compliments to BK, BVG, the defense, anything. Just 'who have they played' lol.

If you've been paying any attention, they don't really have to know anything outside of the top half of the SEC East/West. Clock it one time if you don't believe me. See how long they spend talking about the SEC out of the 3 hour show.

But about their ND hate, for half of the overrated SEC teams to start the year, where was the 'who have they played' argument? It's not there, and if it is, it's burried after a plethora of compliments. Zero compliments for ND from Howard and Fowler, just jumping straight to the 'who have they played'.
Do you even SEC bro?

You are correct, but Desmond Howard is still a tool that hates on ND seemingly every chance he gets.

Still......... who cares? It bothers me for all of about 30 seconds. Some of you need to stop and rethink what your priorities are in life. A lot of you have families. Do you really allow Desmond Howard's hating on ND to piss you off that badly? What does that say to your kids, about what's important in life? If you think that your kids don't notice that you got pissed off at Howard's comments, think again. I love ND football. It does affect my mood, if they win or lose, or play well or poorly. But I am NOT going to let a fool on ESPN affect my mood for longer than it takes to roll my eyes and chuckle. /soapbox off

GO IRISH!!

That's just false. Verbatim from TODAY:

"A struggling offensive line should be able to make some creases [against UNC]."
-True and fair.

"But that's not going to mean the run game is fixed heading into FSU."
-True and fair.

"Larry Fedora is alternating quarterbacks about every three series... Good luck with that against Brian VanGorder's disorienting defense."
-Praise of BVG, exactly what you said they DIDN'T do.

Many did.

You think they ARE impressive?

Bro I like you, but you work there and are a fanboy. That's ok, I wouldn't bite the hand that feeds me either, but seriously that dog ain't gonna hunt.

Yes Stanford is a good team.

That wasn't the conversation. The analysts were talking about BVG's defense and who THEY'VE played. The Stanford OFFENSE is NOT impressive.

And all I am saying is this gets old. I know I just shouldn't watch, but give me a break. Then the pacifying of Winston and TG was sickening as well. I guess I just see it differently than you do. And no, the majority of ND fans were not calling for Zaire, give me a break.

Ok, there offense did not play well against us, nor did they play well in horrible weather. Oh, and why are you yelling? It's not even so much a matter of them having concerns about ND's accomplishments, it's the snide way that they go on about doing it.

That's after dramatically painting UNC as basically the worst team ever. He's hedging his bet already in case ND goes off.

Building off of the above^. Again, hedging his criticism so even if ND does well today, doesn't mean anything.

There's a hint of praise after waves of 'it doesn't mean anything if you win/you haven't played anyone'. So bravo, Gameday. You're dead on.

You love ESPN. I don't care for them. We're both probably a little right and both a little wrong. Let's leave it at that.

I recommend my solution: don't watch Gameday. The show has become more about the antics of Corso, Herbstreit, Fowler, et al and less about the games. I haven't watched it in years.

One and two are not true. At least the words highlighted are not. So that takes care of the fair part, as well.

No, I don't think so. If Desmond Howard can pick Michigan as the number 6 team in the nation, preseason, when even an idiot like me sees the third year "hole" RichRod left Hoke in, and then he can get in front of the cameras without turning to blubber, I am pretty sure he lets things like that roll off his back.

No amount of money could dissuade my embarrassment over looking that stupid in public; how about you?

I guess. He's not going to bring it up, but he is definitely feeling it deep down. He said a lot of crap on how we were chickening out and everything. He is pretty transparent if you ask me. His job is supposed(or should be) to be as impartial as he can be.
Talking about him just feels like a waste of time right now. Haha

+1. Gameday has been broken for years, I don't waste my time with it. Same with Musburgur, he went so far over the top I couldn't stand to listen to his nonsense. Muted him 15 years ago.

Lol He is WAY better than Fowler calling the games. ESPN f'd up when they made that move.

Yeah I liked Musberger way better than Fowler too. Fowler makes a lot of snide remarks imo. Speaking of Musberger though I always thought he did go a little over board on some calls though. I'll never forget the tackle against Oklahoma where T'eo jumped over a guy to make the tackle and Musberger said "T'eo over the top" for some reason that always cracks me up the way he said it. haha

It won't mean anything significant, considering East Carolina, Clemson, and Virginia Tech have already beat the shit out of them.
