Another thign i don't see noone chatting aobut is our Return game. Duke johnson is ELECTRIC on KO returns. I expect him to bust one or two big ones possibly going alol the way. Another fascet in the game we can beat you in.

He won't be returning anything if Brindza wants to kick through the goal posts

Let me hear some score predicitons.

Miami 31 ND 24... ND comes out flat after the bye week, stupid uniforms, and a hungry Miami team... OL/TE continue to suck leaving our running game average... Miami hits two deep balls in the first quarter and ND finds themselves behind early... trailing for the first time this year, we mentally implode Golson has turnover issues.... Tommy comes into save the day and rallies the team but down 24-21 very late we give up a big play on 3rd & short that goes for a TD.... get a field goal on next drive but fail to recover onside kick and Miami wins.

That is your absolute best case scenario.

More plausible? Offense comes out running the ball hard but the score is 17-14 ND at halftime thanks to inexperienced secondary... open up the second half with good adjustments and stretch the lead to 31 - 14... Miami gets on the board late and ND wins 31 - 21.

Our best case? The bunch of fake pussies from Miami comes up to 50 degree weather in Chicago... we also get some freezing rain... Morris makes mistakes early and implodes... the team quits because they're a bunch of weak wannabe thugs at a school that has less fans than Ball State and ND pours it on behind a resurgent effort from the OL... ND wins a statement game 52-17.

Its predicted to be upper 30s with a 30% chance of rain and 15+ mph wind.

I'm thinking a low-scoring game. 24-10, ND.

Miami is solid, they're just too young and flashy, and cold weather will derail them.

I love it that we can say "pussies" on here!

he just set an ACC record for passing yards in game with a team who boast a first round CB.

And a team without a defensive line causing pressure. No corner can cover a receiver for 15 seconds. ND's defensive line is nasty, they have not been slowed down yet, and they are built with both speed and power. Ask denard robinson, the greatest escape artist of all time, how strong our front seven is. Your QB is going to have to be very quick and accurate on his reads to have a chance. We can cause a lot of pressure with just a 3 man rush.

Our secondary average? That was the thought 3 weeks ago, well they were more of an unknown than average, but they have played very well because our Dline penetrates offensive lines quickly and causes QB's to make uncomfortable and fast decisions leading to errand passes.

Our offense has been suspect but its not because of any lack of playmakers. Ever hear of Tressleball? BK has been very cautious and conservative with his playcalling to avoid turnovers. He's played the field position battle and relied on our defense. But, when ND needed to score, it's offense has scored. When ND needed a first down, it got a first down.

If our offense gels, which I am hoping because of the bye week, than we'll be more than serviceable. Like I said, its not like we have a lack of athletes, there is just some hesitation to open the playbook while employing a young QB and a QB that has a limited skill set.

I'm not going to pretend i watch ND games but from what i've read your secondary is pretty avg. I believe our O-line can hold up against your great front 7. Stephen Morris can move around pretty good, he's far from a stiff and has one of the biggest arms in college football. He'll make enough big plays to win this ball game.

What have you been reading?

Our pass defense is ranked 19th in yards, 10th in pass efficiency, and tied for 7th in interceptions. If Denard Robinson couldn't escape the pressure from our front seven, then I'm doubting Morris' ability to do so. And while Morris is admittedly a much better thrower than Denard, he has the same penchant for making big mistakes under pressure.

I'll say ND rolls 34-13.

Now, to have an educated football discussion. I agree with you 100%. I really think Golson gets it this week, he had a week to figure it out. I think the running game gets going too

Miami won't score more than 10 points against our D. I honestly think we could blank them.

We'll score anywhere between 17 to 45 points.

Expecting two scores from the Defense or STs chipping in?

Wow bold prediction... I don't think we'll hold them to less than 17.

I believe ND will score on defense and special teams. I'm not that Miami is scary, not even buying that they're good. Our front 7 is going to dominate and the D will force at least 3 turnovers. 35-17 Irish.

I'm usually a little over optimistic and I'll be the first one to congratulate them if they pull off a miracle, but I honestly feel like our D, even with a suspect secondary might be the best D in CFB this year. JMHO

Don't get me wrong, I want our guys and Miami both going into this thinking the Canes are a lot better than they really are.

I think Mich. St, Mich and Purdue are better teams.

Why do I think that every team we play is better than the last? I just think Miami is a completely different type of opponent than we have faced. Tons of speed and athleticism. Again, if Canes stay disciplined (that is a big if), it's going to be close. If Morris is running around with his head cut off and our secondary comes up with some early picks, I believe 17-6 ND.

I like it when posters from the teams we play come on the board and talk sh!t. Makes every game seem like a rivalry.

Therefore, I thoroughly hope Tuitt and Shembo keep Morris planted on his back all game while Te'o collects 15 tackles and gets another pick, further inflating his Heisman campaign.

34-16 ND
