What difference does it make? We're not any worse off down two than we would have been down one.
Cuz if they score we are Down 9

Just got caught up in the game.
Officiating to seems to be the worst we have seen this year. Thoughts?

Too early to go for 2

When would you like him to go for 2? When the game is on the line?
No way. Stanford was by far the worst. I haven't had issues with the officiating today really.
That's because we failed the attempt. If we kicked the extra point and Pitt scored again, then we failed THAT two point conversion, we'd be in the same situation. If Pitt scores a TD they go up 2 scores now...
You don't chase points before the 4th quarter. We will likely have at least 3 more drives before this is over.

Thought the hold on Ruehland was weak. The offsides in Hayes was not correct should have been a false start. And I’ve seen a few hold on Pitt oline not called

That has nothing to do with WHEN you go for 2. If we kicked it, down 1. Pitt scores, down 8. It's still a two possession game if we fail to convert THAT two point conversion, only at that point it's later in the game and we have less chance to hurry up.If they score here and get the PAT, they are up 9...making it a 2 possession game.
What? Pitt has had 8+ minute drives multiple times. You don't chase points before the 4th quarter. We will likely have at least 3 more drives before this is over.

Will we? Their drives have taken 6-7 minutes.

The math actually says you should ALWAYS go for 2, especially in college. The point is you may never need to get a 2 pt conversion depending on how the rest of the game goes. However if you don't convert you are opening the door to being down 2 possessions which is a terrible position to be in. The reward isn't worth the risk with over a quarter to go.
You always take the guaranteed PAT until you absolutely have to go for 2. JMO
