Soooo are we back in it with Holley then? I know OSU was out, but iirc Florida was second fiddle (haha, dumpster fire); not us.

I doubt it. He pretty much stated he wasn't interested in a huge academic challenge like he'd have at nd.

Were it not for Holley's "mentor" he would've visited for banquet and we'd be squarely in the race right now.

I hope they weren't expecting him to stick around for 46 years.

Why is there all this talk of Franklin to PSU? I dislike Franklin as much (or, truthfully, probably more) than anybody, but why would he want the PSU job? At this point, Vandy is probably a better job than PSU. In a couple years once the sanctions start to wane? Then yeah, maybe PSU would be a better job. Other than the fact that Franklin is from Philadelphia, there's no connection to him at the school, as far as I know.

Not saying Franklin won't go there, but I think staying at Vandy and/or holding out for another school would be better than PSU.

I think Al Golden might want that job in Happy Valley.

ding ding ding!

This is what happens when we let our uncles make decisions for us.

Maybe Holley can skip college all together and just go right to the pros...you know, since he's not interested in academics at all anyway.

Schiano seems like he'd be a good fit there. Maybe that Ball State guy Lembo? Or Narduzzi?
Golden makes sense but if he were going to leave Miami for a lateral move I think he'd have done it by now. Could've had Wisconsin last year, for instance.
Franklin could probably do better and have less headaches elsewhere (that column about O'Brien and the "Paterno people" has got to be a big red flag to anyone thinking about this job).
