I really wanted them highly ranked when they played us though. This is karma for bitching about the playoffs, but then getting absolutely pitol whipped by uga.

There is absolutely nothing good FSU can take from this game. GT controlled both lines of scrimmage.

Oof, a rough ending to last and start to this season for FSU.

GT could be a dangerous team going forward. Hot recruiting area and an Atlanta based school.

They'd have a lot to offer a lot of the same kids we go after in that part of the country.
On the plus side, if they're good, their coach probably moves up the food chain before too long.

Someone should take DJU’s past hype + current career trajectory, put it on a billboard, and both promptly/repeatedly point Deuce Knight to it.

Not entirely apples to apples, but there’s a very real chance he ends up in the same boat if he goes to Auburn.

To be fair, DJU walked into a far better situation at Clemson than Deuce would at Auburn. Stable program, Trevor Lawrence ahead of him to learn from, all sorts of weapons on offense. And he was handed the keys as a sophomore. He just isn't that good a quarterback.

History says unlikely. It’s not like they just relocated there. The key is getting the administration to put more emphasis on athletics, particularly FB.

Agree with everything you said. And that’s the crux of it all, right.

DJU was highly touted, 5*, went to a great situation and is still bombing out. Turns out he wasn’t that good. No one knows what the future will hold for Deuce, but 4 for 40 is incredibly relevant here.

WTF? He just went undefeated last year
Sure. Had a couple real close calls though. Then they got absolutely destroyed by Georgia and have now followed that up with being dominated on both lines of scrimmage by Georgia Tech in a loss.

Not only several close calls, but the ACC was way down last year and FSU went 13-0 against a very weak schedule. Wasn't it something like 55th or 59th in the country? They crowed a lot about being undefeated, but 13-0 against that schedule with some close games wasn't particularly impressive.

Seriously that was one of the dumber comments ive seen recently. Guy took over a dumpster fire of a program and has completely rebuilt it in 3 years. Dropping one game he shouldnt doesnt change anything that he is their guy unless things come unhinged this year and next. Even a step back for the whole year this year doesnt put him on the hot seat unless they win like 4-5 games.

Florida State had a combined 210 starts on their OL.

Easy to miss with how badly they were getting abused up front all game. 98 yards rushing, 3.2 yards per carry. Yikes.

They couldn't do anything down field and the play calling was unbelievably conservative. The last drive they opened it up a little and they scored. You can tell they don't trust dju and gt sold out on the run the second half

Florida state d line all hat no cattle. I mean all lean pass rushers and tall scrawny fuckers who spent more time on their back eating balls getting run over. Their #11 who was super hyped as a pass rushing nightmare looked like fantasias hippos on skates everytime they ran his way.

Meanwhile, GT looked great. One play early in the game, they caved the entire DL in giving the back about a 10yd-wide space to operate.

They are going to be difficult if their QB gets hot. He's kind of a wildcard, doesn't look super accurate but can kill you with unscripted plays.

Pure dual threat qbs give me nightmares. When they're on...they can be massive issues. No matter the defense.
