Honest question for your perspective. Do you believe that coachin plays a role in Kizer missing wide open WR's? Is that an attention to detail issue, where the staff isn't pushing him to focus on fundamentals? Or is this just a choke by Kizer?
We called good plays, had wide open WR's and Kizer couldn't hit those passes. If he completes the easy wide open passes, we probably win, I honestly think that's fair to assume.

Kizer is a big time choke. He's been that way since high school. He lost his senior year to a well coached much less talented team in the regional finals.
I think you have to know your players and put them in the best position to win. Kizer is talented and does some things very well but relying on him to consistently hit passes to win is not the way to play. But, that's who Kelly is and will always be. A pass happy coach even when our talent says otherwise. IMO, he doesn't fit in well with the type of football ND needs to play in order to be elite.
Big time choke? Were you on the moon last football season or did you start becoming a fan in 2016?
I know what you're saying but I don't know if anybody knows what type of football Notre Dame can play at this point
ND really needs to get Navy into 3rd and longs and either force them to pass or stuff them on 3rd down. Otherwise Navy will have 4-1/4-2's and they won't hesitate to go for it and likely get the yardage to prolong the drive...and clock.
This is the one game where even if it's 4th down i don't get excited because Navy goes for it a lot.
Note: They've gone for it 14 times this year and converted 8 (57%)
No seriously... think about that.
