Honestly, I have no clue why Chip Long is so obsessed with screen passes that NEVER WORK.

Someone tell me what we expect to get out of running the quick passing game? It's been a failure all season long. Why don't we use an option that could potentially be successful?

They're trying to widen out the defenders to set up Adams' runs. If you watch the NCSt commentary, the coach specifically cited this formation and play on the 77-yard Adams run. The defense was trying to defend the pass, and the single safety was responsible for RB.

Bars blew his assignment on the 1st drive sack by, yet again, getting beat on a quick-hands swim move. When are we going to experiment with Kramer and Hainsey on the right side?

Our wr screens are awesome, we should run some more.

Honestly, I have no clue why Chip Long is so obsessed with screen passes that NEVER WORK.

I'm sorry but yes I'm gonna bitch two screen plays in a row what the hell our we doing after Adams has a rush of 13 yards?

I agree that ND's screens have been CFs all season. There usually seems to be 6-8 people in the cluster and more than half are wearing opposing jerseys. I've been trying to figure out if it's the OL, Wimbush, or the intended receiver be him, RB, WR, or TE, that aren't selling the play. No matter who we've tried it on it been telegraphed.

But on both those passes to Claypool one was barely a screen and the other wasn't. On the first play only Weishar was in front of Claypool. A WR and a TE lined up in tandem with two defenders in front of them. No ND numerical advanatage. On the next play Claypool was lined up wide to the top of the screen - naked. There was no blocker and no one heading over to help out. It was a one on one horizontal pass play with no screens in sight. Again no ND numerical advantage and a very dangerous play.

Score would've been more than 7-3 us if it weren't for us calling two bubble screens in a row on our first drive.
