Yes, which is weird that we got worse as the game went on. It’s certainly not good. Gotta call it like it is. They shredded us in the second half. Had over 500’yds on the day. Not good

I think this performance will give Elko all he needs to get this D refocused and angry. I expect a great performance next week.

And I think that is the right perspective but at this stage, thinking we can make the playoff, this game wasn’t up to standards, IMO.

The quick passing game and fast pace ate them alive. It was not good to see, as that has been a crux for a couple years. Better offense than most give hem credit for, but a bad performance by a lot of guys.

Don't get me wrong. One game, chalk it up to combination of things causing 18-20 year olds having an off day. Next week's performance will speak volumes.

It's concerning, but the response will be key. Unfortunately, we won't know until next Saturday night.

Dude I definitely think we belong in the playoff. But like you, I’m saying the D was ugly and the play calling on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half was pussy shit. But I think we agree.

Yes, if you there is a big takeaway from the day, from a positive perspective, Wimbush is dealin. He should’ve had 400+ yds today. Late on some but who isn’t in college ball. The game was setup for him to have a big day and his WR’s did him no justice

Don’t have numbers but not that much. We had our guys on the field for the most part. Morgan, Tillery, Love, etc.

The D was ok/good while the game was still in the balance. The D line was not good but I thought WF were pretty darn impressive. Overall I don't think there is anything to worry about. Elko will get to the bottom of things.

Sorry but this is irrelevant. Our D was good when the game was in doubt? If we don’t score, then the game would’ve been in doubt. They got routed today, period. Gave up 607 yds of offense, that is terrible. They were lucky our offense was better. Good team victory but this was reminiscent of years past.

I’m certainly not down on Elko and these players but you have to call it like it is, that was a BAD performance.

We literally were only rushing two guys for most passes and playing off coverage. Also the defense should have had two more turnovers, which fits our general plan of allowing yards but forcing turnovers. The only thing I would be worried about with the defense is how they were catching guys instead of driving through them for much of the game. Besides that just relax; we got the W and move on to fight another day.

That being said, if their was ever a team that knows our D, it is definitely WF for obvious reasons. Also, the fact that we kept scoring and handing the ball back to them gave them a ton of opportunities.

I have no doubt the coaches will be all over them this week.

All told, not the best game, not the worst either. We are 8-1 and ranked 3rd in the CFP poll. We have twice as many wins as last year and more to come. Be happy, move on, beat Miami!

In addition to ESB not leaving Elko won’t be leaving early after today’s Schmitt show. If I were him his guys get no love for making what should have been a 48-24 game 48-37. A win sure but not in line with what we’ve done to date
