Army was number 1 in rush defense before the game. Maybe they aren’t actually good but then you shouldn’t use that stat to measure who the best run defense we played is

I agree- when Leonard started to pass more it added another element to our offense. This defense steps up and they play together as a unit (just like the 2012 team, but better).

AAC rather than MAC. And Louisville and A&M are good rush defenses that have a worse rushing yards against total because they play tougher schedules. We still ran well against both of those teams.

Heck GT outrushed Miami 271 to 88, outrushed UGA 260 to 108, but was outrushed by ND 168 to 64. This idea that we aren’t a good rushing team because it’s “just Army” or “just NIU” doesn’t comport because we’ve rushed the ball well against everybody we’ve played. If we aren’t a good rushing team, there may not be a good rushing team in college football
