Wasn’t pretty but anytime we beat that smug faced bastard Shaw it feels great. Stanford should be embarrassed by their field and crowd.

Yet they still keep getting 5* recruits. Doesn't make sense to me.

The degree, NFL presence, and Shaw.

We don't have a Shaw but we have all of that plus. You get to play top schools, you get to travel all around the country and sometimes out of the country. On nation tv all the time.

And we play before a home crowd larger than a Friday night book club meeting. You could have dynamited Stanford Stadium today and not killed anybody. Crowd was a joke.

Why is there a person wearing an ND hat (white hat) standing behind Shaw during the game?

Team ball carriers are always on the opposing sideline. You'll see Stanford on the ND sideline and Ohio State had one behind Harbaugh today too.

lol, we were talking about how you could hear the hand clap to snap the ball in shotgun and the on-field chatter. Our saying was "pelt the stands with several hand grenades and not hit anyone."

After the game they let you on the field. It was pretty cool. I. Got a picture with Kyle Hamilton. My kids got photos with Lenzy, Jones Jr, Kareem K, and Eichenberg. Stanford’s fan base is non-existent.

Oh, I completely agree with you. I was just stating why they still manage to get good recruits. They seem to have a few high profile NFL players that they can point to. But yeah, ND all the way. Although, I still think the general perception of a Stanford degree is still stronger. However, is the Stanford network stronger?

Hang on, is Shaw a big deal?

I don’t think his presence can be underestimated quite yet. He is a successful, winning coach who is also African American. Cultural presence counts for something, especially when it comes to convincing young men the importance of a Stanford degree. I don’t like Stanford or Shaw, but I can recognize why he gets players.

It's a Catholic thing. Nobody wants to talk about It but the religious part has really hurt us with the way times have changed.
I couldn't put things in a nutshell If iI was paid to do so.... Times are changing tho....

That's great! Nothing will take the memory away.
Stanfords fan base Is Joke reminds us of the 1949 team that moved into a stadium next to an amusement park..... Not very long ago... Then bitched about the heat(sun) and the way the stadium was built... Ignorant babies...
The West wasn't built for fans. It's made for a life of luxury.

I take it you’ve never been to a Raiders game?

Ugly to start and domination afterwards. With a bunch of back ups playing. We win and bigly. That shit coach got a big dick if BK in his face.

We ran down their throat at the end without our top 3 OL. Don’t feel bad. And, our two our top 3 DE’s.

I can't stand Stanford. Their team, program, and nonexistent fanbase are so weird to me. And David Shaw is a whiny bitch. I'd take Kelly over Shaw everyday of the week.

That first quarter and a half was maddening. I realize Stanford wasn't going to lay down, but my Lord, we were so passive to start. I'm sure the field had a lot to do with it along with Lea getting into the flow of the game, but I was a mess. I'm thankful for another 10 win season and ready to kick back and chill until bowl matchups are announced. I changed my clothes before the punt block, obviously a genius move LOLOLOL

Lea uses the first quarter to react and implement his lockdown. Problem is it won't work against the better programs and leave us in a hole. He has been good for us, but I wonder if he can implement a successful plan during the week to be implemented from play 1. Maybe that is his next step as a coordinator.

Defense reminded me of last year's USC game. Stay in the base early because they aren't good enough to go up and down the field on you, then discover that they are.

Something Lea needs to rid himself of. Even the 4-8 versions of teams like Stanford are way better than the New Mexicos or the world. Be aggressive. Worst thing that can happen is they score quickly, which is better than if they score slowly.

Uneasy start but great finish. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t having Ann Arbor flashbacks with bad tackling in wet weather at the start. That game will haunt me all year. But 10 wins against some quality teams. And wiping that smug look off Shaw’s face is always a plus.
