I have Bell too.

Irish fans up here are screwed and have to resort to streaming it online.

It sucks and I'm pissed they decided to put this game on NBCSN when all the previous Shamrock Series games were on NBC. I guess I'm stuck watching this on my laptop.

Let me know if you want me to PM you a link to the streaming website I use.

I have Dish, and won't be getting it either unless I increase my package. Debating doing that for a month, or going out to watch. Probably will be way cheaper to bite the bullet and add it.

ND is very good in Shamrock Series games. These games are nothing more than massive marketing and alumni events. It is imperative that ND performs well.

One thing I have not heard many people on the site discuss is the need to sharpen up and really get some momentum going into the playoffs (I am counting ND makes it). Not so sure you can just "survive and advance" and hope something changes in the playoffs against much better competition. I would rather not have question marks to end the season. It would be really nice to see 2 complete games in a row. ND 45 BC 10

For those that may be worried.......... make sure you are checking your guide for NBC SPORTS NETWORK, not the regular plain old NBC channel.

I'll be out of town camping and will be unable to watch anyway. Getting bumped to NBCSN is lame and to me should be a violation of our contract. Guarantee that a #4 ND playing at Fenway Park will get better ratings than whatever holiday special they're bumping it for.

That being said, I expect us to win this game handily, but maybe not with a ton of "style points." I expect something to the tune of 24-0 or 28-3.

As previously noted by others....need Irish to play complete game, all phases. Time is short, and playing so-so in any playoff game is ticket to the stands. Defense should shut this inept BC offense down, and surely we can find ways to score points since they won't have ball very long. ND 34-6.

It's on NBC Sports channel 220 on direct TV. Not the local NBC affiliate.

No. Playoff momentum and sharpening is irrelevant because this fool sport has over a month between the regular season and the Playoff. How they play today has nothing to do with momentum or sharpness come December 31.

This whole exercise is sad. Just sad.

Some of you all should get one of those handy devices that let you broadcast what is on your computer to your TV. Then you won't have to get blurry eye strain trying to watch the game.

I do really feel bad for our Canadian brothers, however!

I'm pretty sure that when the NBC contract was renewed, one game a year on NBCSN was part of the deal.

Call up directv and add the channel, then call back up Sunday and change it back. It takes a bit of time, but won't cost you anything else.

I disagree. It is a confidence factor. If you have a good end to the season, you enter that playoff game with more confidence saying to yourself "I expect to play at the level I finished at, not where I started". There might not be a direct correlation between how they play today and on Dec 31, but you hear it all the time across all sports, this team is really limping into the post season etc. Herbstreit just said, peaking at the right time is important.

People really need to watch out for this BC defense. They'll likely give us a lot of fits. It took a lot of big plays/broken plays for Clemson to hang 34 on them. Watson was hit plenty and threw 2 picks.

They are #1 in total yards allowed, tied at #9 for team sacks (31; Notre Dame is tied down at #71), #1 in total TFLs, #1 rush defense (holding opponents to an average of 71.7ypg), #2 in 3rd down percentage (.233), tied for #2 in 4th down percentage (.200), #1 in 1st down defense, #5 in passing yards allowed, #9 in team passing efficiency defense, #5 in punt return defense, and tied for #2 for blocked punts (3).

And despite their anemic offense, they still run the ball so damn much that they are in the top 50 for TOP. You have to consistently get their offense 3 and out or else they can really make almost any game a ball game with their defense and special teams play.
