Well he got plenty of mop up duty against Umass.. played some against Pitt.. got a tackle.. so he is getting some..

That's nothing though. Urban had an AA linebacker ahead of McMillan, and McMillan was playing legitimate snaps as a backup half way through their championship run. It's about finding a balance between future development and winning at the same time. I don't think BK is any good at that balance, but that's for another thread so I'll shut up now.

We were up 42-17 with 5 minutes to go and BK wouldn't give Morgan a snap. No chance he plays IMO. Forget next year, glad Morgan is getting some snaps this year for experience. Not.

I could play MLB with 5 to go when we're up 20+ and we wouldn't lost the game.
False. ND def would have lost if you were in.

These are the type of games we should win easily, but with that said they will come in jacked up and most likely deliver their best performance of the year and force us to make sure we show up and don't look ahead to the shamrock series in fenway and our "conference" title game vs Stanford.

Bringing my wife and 10 year old for their first visit. My 10 year old is so excited you would think its already Christmas. He keeps saying "I can't wait to see where Rudy went to school". He's watched that movie 50 times if he's watched it once. I can't wait to get up there.

Good to hear you are raising your kid right! Enjoy the game and atmosphere.

I'm hoping backups play the entire fourth quarter and expand on the lead. Second string is in serious need of some snaps.

BK says Adams earned some snaps after running roughshod over Pitt. I think not getting DK killed in protection was the bigger reason he will take some of the load off of Procise. That and the fact we shouldn't need our A game the next two weeks.

Team handled business against Wake on senior day in 2012.

He should be getting meaningful snaps. Just like Adams should have been before CJ went down. But still, since BK refuses to play anyone but Joe when the game matters, mop up snaps are better than no snaps for Morgan.

Has every thread turned into a "Joe Schmidt sucks" thread? I wonder what they're saying about Joe in the "Police State" or "Missouri Football Players" threads?

This isn't a Joe Sucks argument (I'm using CJ as my example and he definitely doesn't suck). Even if Joe was good, the backups should be getting meaningful snaps. Even though CJ is good, Adams should be getting carries before the game's over/CJ is hurt. It's part of finding a balance with winning and getting the backups real experience so they can help when someone goes down and/or next year when the starter moves on.

Irish should come out and snatch the game from the get-go, turning game over to 2nd team in 4th. Need to get guys reps and rest/preserve the A-team for the stretch.

2nd team will then Fumble a big lead a way and the starters will have to come back in to close it....ill be here all week.

remember those dark days with CW when we NEVER saw backups, even against the weakest of opponents? Need to get the second wave a chance to try out their wings....both offense and defense.

Good deal. Now I can go home for lunch with the fam.

I'll post any misc. tweets from others if I come across any.

Try not to post any where the second sentence is something to the effect of "#7 will blow your mind"

You also mentioned Joe in one of your posts. It's just getting tiring hearing about Joe and how others should play or get some reps. I don't disagree that Morgan should get some reps, but why not simply say, "Hope this is a game where some of the guys on the sideline end up getting some reps."?
