Thank god Benny caught that cuz Mayer had no one with in 80 feet of him

That was crazy. BK yelled at Ian before the play. Gotta think BK knew they would be in single coverage and Ben has dominated that match up all game. Wish for an easier TD but sometimes coaches tell them. You are throwing the ball here.
Last drive against Clemson in 4th quarter same thing happened on a different play and more time. The play Ben almost stretched and scored.
Tremble was wide open in end zone but I get the feeling that either Rees or BK knew Skrowronek would be there for 1st and goal inside 5.
Idk maybe I'm giving excuses for Book or our coaches too much credit
Either way. I'm happy Ben is having a breakout game. Need it!

Books pocket presence is just light years better than it was a few weeks ago. No idea what the change is but he’s dancing past defenders with ease and keeping his eyes downfield.

Tons of mistakes including 2 turnovers and we lead 31-16 at the half. I'll take that any day of the week.

Confidence. Same thing that happened post-VT last year.

Haha, the more you repeat it doesn’t make it true.

He’s dramatically improved in all phases of the game. He’s making throws under pressure from the pocket. He’s sliding in the pocket to evade pressure not just running from it. He’s taking calculated chances. He’s pushing the ball downfield and over the middle of the field.

Super happy for his progress. He’s his best Ian right now, when he should be. We should all give him credit for his improvements, not bury our head in the sand and say he was this good all along.

It really is. He’s got that pro type shoulder dip, slide, throw, move working. It’s beautiful to see.

Kurt is another guy who is playing his best football right now. I love watching these vets really start to put it altogether.

either a super bad pass or deflected. i'm leaning towards super bad

and that bad pass may have just taken out his best WR.

I'm not saying Book hasn't found his confidence again and is playing better, but this WR group has certainly gotten light years better from where they were at the beginning of the season. It's understandable, all our experienced pass catchers graduated and were drafted. It took time for them to develop and build a rapport with Ian. The fact remains that Kyren and the TEs had no problem picking up passes from Ian to start the season. Ian wasn't the big problem, it just took time for the WR group to hit their stride.

What is ND's gameplan? BC is converting more 3rd downs than they are not.
