Players that jump out to BK in practice and how they are practicing
-CJ Prosise
-Jarron Jones
-Gunner Kiel
-Will Mahone

freshman standouts that won't play this year.

I had sorta forgotten about Prosise. I am real excited to see how he plays out next year. The kid is stupid fast. It's good to see Kiel playing well in practice too.

Could you imagine if not having your high number available was a make or break for a commitment?! Ridiculous if you ask me...

A big reason Andre Hastings didn't come to ND was because he couldn't wear number 1. Or so he eluded to in an SI interview.

After the Pitt performance, you can rest assured the Irish will open a large can of Whoop *** on BC and will use every single ounce of it. There will be no leftovers to put in the fridge.

gotta save a little for wake and usc though!

Don't worry, there are two more cans sitting on the shelf.

We can get another one made up so we have one for the Bowl, right?

I want to see a big dosage of GAIII thrown at them

Would love to see the kid go off for 150+

Would be sweet if we could have 3 100 yard rushers. Thats something i think we could ALL agree on.

Have to make a statement... may be too little too late, but if three strong statements are made in the last month you never know...

I still think it's highly unlikely all four go unbeaten though.

That is so dumb. The number doesn't make you play any better.

when you pander to children they come spoilt brats! Ive even read interviews before where recruits turned down schools because they didnt like the uniforms or color schemes or they wouldnt be allowed to have their names on the back of their jerseys.

Good thought. Just ordered another one in the extra large size.

I've read some posting here were some people are a little worried, and bringing up past upsets from the hands of BC. The thing about Pitt is they had a 5th year start at QB in Sunseri and a very talented RB in Graham. Dont get me wrong they arent a good team by any means they just came out with fire and we were flat for 3.5 quarters. With that being said I do think ND lays the wood to this BC team. Man I'd hate to be a starter on that field come Saturday.

Personally, they got the wakeup call they needed and pulled out a close one to Pitt. BC is far worse then Pitt in just about everything football related.

New coach, new atmosphere, 5th year QB, RB who will be taken in the first couple rounds, respectable defense.

BC has a coach waiting to be fired, a QB who completes 54% of his passes (Sunseri is at 68%), a defense that gives up 30 points on average, a team that can't run the ball to save themselves, just so many things wrong and trending down.

Pitt is better then their record indicates and BC is worse then theirs. They beat a Maine team who is currently 3-6 and they beat Maryland who is on their 5th QB of the season I think.

Anything less then a Florida State like blowout (51-7) would be disappointing. Actually, I'll be disappointed if BC scores a TD at all.

Let those spoiled kids go to USC or an SEC school. Notre Dame doesn't need these me-first types.

I believe Maryland's 5th string QB is also a LB...good lord.

Army is 2-7, including a 23-3 loss to Stony Brook.

And BC is 2-7. What does that matter? Army's strength is running the football, bad record or not. I would expect a team who solely runs the football to do so very well against the 5th worst rushing defense in FBS.

A few interesting quotes from the SBT story today:

“The last couple of weeks I’ve been rooting for them because I want a shot at them,” said Cleary, a Chicago-area native who attended St. Viator High in Arlington Heights, Ill. “All the Midwest guys on our team have been keeping an eye on it and waiting for this week.”

“We’ve had a pretty disappointing season up to this point,” said leading wide receiver Alex Amidon. “It’s such a big rivalry: Notre Dame-BC. There’s been a ton of great games. That’s a little bit extra motivation. There’s always some more motivation when you’re playing Notre Dame.”

With so little momentum to draw from this year, Amidon and his teammates look to last year’s close 16-14 loss to the Irish as a sign that they can compete with 2012’s version. “It’s a lot of the same people on both teams coming back,” Amidon said. “There have been a few reasons here and there why we’ve been coming up short, but I think we definitely have confidence that we can give this team a shot.”

“Up until recently we used to have their number. It’s definitely something our program likes to take some pride in,” Cleary said. “We’re looking forward to doing it again.”

Thats fine. Keep thinking that. As tko said, you won't be able to drop 8 in coverage this year. Plus, it might be some "of the same people" playing for the Irish, but this is a competely different team. Different mindset, different preparation, much more improved. I hope we stomp Fredo in to the ground!!!
