Am I reading Q's hand size and wingspan correctly? Dude has bear paws and almost a 7' wingspan?! No wonder he mauls people...

Mayock mentioned that EQ and Smythe caught the ball real well and draft stock up for both.

Everything I read is ESB is a 2nd rounder and Smythe is a mid rounder. Have to think someone takes a shot on Adams right? Good numbers, good production on the field, and building like and ox.

IMO...Q is the surest bet (Chubb & Barkley two and three) in the whole draft class. Too bad he's a guard or he'd go #1 overall. So pumped to watch him in the NFL.

I think the funny apart about those measurements is that Q's arms are 3/8" shorter than McGlinchey, but his wingspan is 1.5" longer. Really shows how wide Q is that he has almost two inches of chest width on McGlinchey who isn't too small himself.

Malik was never about the open-field speed.

His vision, explosiveness, and fluid hips were the keys to making him a natural runner.

Cool story bro - 4.93 would have been slowest RB by a full tenth of a second this year at the combine - a fullback mind you, followed by some other fullbacks in the 4.7s. I doubt "Explosive or fluid" are used in their profiles on the NFL combine sight but I could be wrong.

Josh Rosen ran a 4.92 and was fifth from the bottom for QBs - so yeah, your running QB is slow.

Probably a 4th/5th round pick. The problem for Adams is that there are a ton of good RBs in the draft this year. The reason I think it's crazy to take Barkley in the top 10 is that you are going to be able to get Year 1 starters in the 3rd round.

Pretty good breakdown of the RB class here. The top five or six are super talented, and that could get you starters in the late second/early third round. Adams projects Rounds 3-5.

Whole lot of RBs there that most fans should be happy to add to the roster. Might not be the most valuable position but at the same point I think tons of teams are content keeping 3 good ones on hand for when they inevitably get banged up.

Draft your OL high and RB low - IMO.

Are you saying that Malik *wasn't* a natural runner? I seem to remember him getting around the end or through the line and getting into the second level with pretty good - dare I say it - explosiveness.

Then he would get caught from behind, because he is slow at a dead sprint. But he had really good giddy-up and wiggle.

Sorry to have offended you with my opinion of the "quicker than fast" variety.

Again, it was hard to dig up his past 40 numbers, but a Florida site had him listed at 4.67. That seems more in line with his healthy speed, because I'm pretty sure Tommy could run a 4.93 or somewhat close to that. Hell, I ran between a 5.2 and 5.3 as a lineman. No idea why he currently is running 4.93, but he was certainly quicker than that when he was a starter. He was never a burner, but as Lion said he was certainly shifty and was explosive to the hole.

Actually, he ran a 5.09. http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/nd/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/2013-14/misc_non_event/2014_Pro_Day_Results.pdf

At this point, his broken ankle is now over 2.5 years ago.

Yeah, not saying it was the ankle injury that necessarily slowed him down, and that Florida site had him listed at a 4.67, but I'm wondering if he didn't have a muscle strain or something that slowed him down. Maybe he came in out of shape? RDU was bagging on his slowness, and I'm just trying to point out he wasn't always this slow.

I would side with the bolded. He wasn't always a 4.9 runner, but I would guess it's lack of training why he is running that now.
